An ethical journalist will not be angered by such comment which in fact gave her a chance to explain. Trump survived and became stronger than ever after that crisis. Barbara Walters was trying to humiliate and embarrass Trump rather than let him narrate his version and later present her own assessment and controverting evidences in the editorials like how neutral journalists do. Walters never amount to anything more than a money propelled journalist who died like an ugly rat.

He was not your far right neo nazi golden child back then, in fact he criticized the republicans left and right. He also criticized Leona Helmsley for not paying her taxes, only for us to later find out he paid less taxes than anyone else “that makes me smart” I don’t know how it’s not tax evasion unless he really sucks at business and made zero profit which one is it?

The Walters interview was tough but I think fair. This is what interviews should be like. Push back just enough without being combative. Maybe erred a bit on the tough side but they were fair questions. The problem with modern interviewers is not that they push back. They're not "fake news" they just keep pushing, not satisfied with answers, then the on-the-spot fact-checking where there is a clear bias. I don't think Walters showed bias here, they were fair questions.

To be fair, a lot of interviews were conducted this way by the press back then. They may be aggressive but at least they were more authentic than they are now.
If current reporters were as useful as Walters was back then, all politicians would crumble. Somewhere along the line, it seems that we forgot to cite sources, research the topic and use an unbiased, but strict viewpoint. Now all we get is emotional and opinionated reporting. It is tiresome. News broadcasts is supposed to report on news, not their interpretation and opinion of what is happening.

Yes, I agree with your 1st statement. That must be why your picture shows an ape. I've always marveled at how Leftists seem to know deep down who and what they really are, and reveal, or confess it - perhaps unconsciously sometimes - by their odd & often self-incriminating screen names and/or pictures. For a long time now, I've suspected that everyone knows the truth deep down, and they tend to dramatize it in their conscious actions and comments. But the most amazing part is how they make so many admissions of being messed up, without realizing it. Hitler eventually sabotaged his own plans with surprisingly irrational decisions that baffled his top generals and administrators, until they lost confidence in him, and began seeking ways to get out of the way before it all collapsed. I see similar behaviors in democrats and their supporters today. They're getting close to the point where they nearly admit crimes and evil intentions openly, as if they're eager to do so, knowing there will be no criticism or condemnation from their own side. The child abuse and perverted desires to use children for gratification are showing up, astonishingly without shame, in the anger against the recent movie "Sound of Freedom".

Honestly, the more I hear him speak - the more I like him. This interview was intrusive, a bit mean, and didn't let up. I would have told her to mind her own bees-wax early on. However, compared to the relentless, vicious attacks that have reigned down on him since coming down that escalator - this was a cake walk. The best president - measured purely on accomplishments - since Reagan, or earlier. Despite all the brickbats. Watching him versus everyone these past eight years have helped to open my eyes to the ugliness and corruption of the swamp, the establishment, and the legacy media. I'm thankful for his pair of carbon-steel stones.

I am not an American, and I only knew this man from his appearances in movies, or when he was competing with Vince McMahon, and I was surprised by his rise to the presidency. I have no interest in praising him, because I am not interested in domestic American politics. But I was born and lived in the Middle East my whole life. It is my country, my region, my history, and the history of my ancestors. There were times when I saw the faces of my family and feared that a day would come when I would see them in a terrible state of killing and intimidation, and that a day would come when we would be under the rule of chaotic militias. Before this, American presidents were indecisive on many issues, postponing them, procrastinating them, and some of them, unfortunately, created problems from scratch, as happened in Iraq, where the slogan was to overthrow a tyrant, and the result was that they replaced him with thousands of tyrants and extremist Shiite and Sunni militia leaders, thirsty for blood, who hate security, hate development, and do not know the language of stability. Except this person, he was clearly different. He represents the citizen who sits on the sofa and follows the news and problems and has clear solutions in his head, but he is surprised by the actions of politicians, which seem to him neither courageous nor decisive, and there are intrigues behind them. It seemed to me that this man rose from the citizen's chair... and sat on the presidential chair and seemed to fulfill the hopes of the world. During the four decades that I lived in the Middle East, the years that this person ruled were the most calm and stable years in the region... compared to the complete madness that we lived through before he came to the presidency and the explosion of the situation we are experiencing today in Sudan, Gaza, northern Jordan, and the Red Sea. His policy in our region was clear and without tricks. He saw the problem...and put his hand on it. But after he left the presidency, things returned to what they were... and much worse, and it was ironic that this was expected.
