Fun fact. He asked her in 2000 and she said yes but Trump dropped out before anything could happen. In 2016 he asked again and she said no because Hillary was running so he chose Pence because Pence could appeal to the Religious base in the Republican party that Trump wouldn't win over otherwise. Choosing Pence was a choice from the heart. Choosing Pence was to win the Religious base. Simular to how Obama chose Biden because Obana was hurting in 2008 for not knowing foreign policy and Joe Biden specialized in foreign policy.

Yeah I didn't agree with her views on ambition and success, when she tried to argue with Dave Chappelle about his reasons for leaving his show. That when you make that much money (as she does), it comes with an understanding that you have to deal with a lot more stress and responsibility. It's legitimizing it when she should be criticizing it. It's just one way that people "accept the way the world is" rather than FIGHT IT. And that's what most if not all ambitious people do, they don't try to fight the system, rock the boat, they do what they have to, to be more "successful." They become a shill, a sellout. But Chappelle knows what real success looks and feels like. It's about being happy. If you're having to deal with so much more stress because of success, and you convince yourself that it's necessary, and you push yourself to the brink of sanity to maintain that "success," then you're not chasing happiness. You're chasing something egoic and false.

I disagree. He has changed. He was a registered democrat from 2001-2009. He used to align with pro choice voters. He has become much more conservative since he came into politics. He is also much more well spoken back in the day. Even in 2016 he was. Yes, I understand Biden is old but Trump is also starting to show signs of his age. I agree his rhetoric about wanting the country to “win big” hasn’t changed much but policy-wise, he’s changed. I don’t buy that he loves this country. He loves himself and will say whatever to get people to like him. I’m sure someone is going to tell me that “the media makes him look bad because of their liberal agenda”. I don’t understand why people think he’s this tough guy. He whines and bitches when something doesn’t go his way, 2020 election denial for example. I do think he does talk about legitimate concerns for Americans but I certainly don’t think he is the solution.

This doesn't prove anything other than he never had any solid ideologies in place to begin with and thought of the presidency as what he thinks of it now, a road to promoting himself. What he was back then was the same thing Don King would be, running as a presidential candidate, a meme.

I'm really sorry for the insult because my culture teaches me to respect my elders but I find it hard to have a normal conversation with people who are overly judgemental..hate the man all you like that does not change the fact that he is a success story..He did not simply maintain his wealth he multiplied it through grit..he could have lived a lavish life but he ran to become president and so far America is doing great..highest employment for African Americans in 16years, highest black home ownership in history, ISIS decimated, Tax Cuts, Conservative Judges, stronger borders, 2nd amendment rights secure, Strong economy (wether Obama owns it or not at least he is improving on it)....these may not be what you want but it should not come as a surprise..the only surprise is to see someone finally do what they promised..in 3 years time let your voice be heard at the ballot box but until then let the people who voted for this man (Patriot to me Traitor to you) enjoy their choice, last time I checked its still a democracy sir..

I’ve watched several of these older interviews. It appears to me that age didn’t start affecting him mentally until his late 60s. Even in his interview on The View back in 2011, he was sharp and pleasant.

Now his brand is Trump the Queens straight talking, non-politician. As Obama has said about himself on gay marriage, etc, that Obama has evolved, so has Donald Trump to win the presidency and keep it.

@brentonz it is really good living here. I pay a small amount of Healthcare insurance monthly for unlimited coverage, it is safe (no guns in sight) and we are doing quite the same as a few years ago. Very high on the index of development and also on happiness, thank you. Way above yours, I'm genuinely sad to say. Happiness, safety & health should not be politicized.

This was his vision prior to his 2016 run... Hadn't the world evolved the way it did. He may have had oprah as his running mate. Cannot predict the future, wish we could. No matter what side of the fence you all are on.... I wish you all the best. Much respect.
