Regarding Goodwin’s comment that neighboring countries should be doing more to help, 186 hospitals in Egypt 🇪🇬 alone have taken in injured Palestinians from Gaza for treatment. Jordan 🇯🇴 is sending aid and even non-neighboring countries like the UAE 🇦🇪, Bahrain 🇧🇭 and Kuwait 🇰🇼 have sent medical teams to Gaza.

@@umbralupus6488 Nearly 800,000 jews left North Africa and the middle east after 1948 to move to Israel. This was because of how they were treated. In Tunisia in 1948 they passed a law that Jews were second class citizens and did not get a vote. So that idea is a none starter.

I never politically agreed with Murray, but there was a time when I felt both he and Goodwin were at least fairly reasonable. But the right-wing media has sadly become even more indistinguishable of late. There are no moderate conservatives. The Telegraph and The Spectator, which used to have at least a whiff of intellectual and democratic pretence, have descended into Daily Mail, Express and Sun levels of outright nastiness.
