The definition of "terrorism" is NOT 'violence with a political aim'. If so, the Uk government and police would be called terrorists. The definition of "terrorism" is 'anything the official enemy does'.

@devianadkar7969 Yeah the US and UK do hide behind 'freedom' and 'human rights' but when they're attacking non combatants with a political aim such as creating civic pressure it is 'state terrorism'.
@maxpowerii7368
23 күн бұрын
Terrorism is violence with the intent to scare or induce fear into a civilian population with the intent to manipulate their decisions as a result. Ergo by definition it can not include violence against occupation or violence against ruling classes aka rebellion. However the assault on Palestine would meet the definition and be considered state terrorism as it’s intent is to scare and terrorise the Palestinian civilian population.
Tory funded independent inquiries.... 😂 One man might benefit directly from his role in such a situation... Unbelievable!

@EMidMSO
26 күн бұрын
Absolutely. Reform to HoL must be very carefully considered. It doesn't seem exactly improved by the 1999 reforms replacing most hereditary Peers with political appointees
Woodcock speaks, all that can be heard is the sound of a dried pea rolling around inside a skull - but with dangerous outcomes.
So this guy defected from Labour because it wasn't right-wing enough...and to avoid scrutiny for sexual harassment charges, then was well enough connected with certain people, that he was installed in the HoL as a quid pro quo for 'services rendered. Sounds legit. lol
The government hasn't been tough enough in punching down? When it's clearly too cowardly to punch up. What a surprise.
We can safely refer to Woodcock as 'Supporter of War Criminal.......' from now on.
Free Palestine
I was really disappointed that the interviewers didn't push him more about what he had received from the Israel lobby.

Slimy man
This is a perfect example, of why I a 70yr old Socialist Labour voter, finds myself, conflicted, about voting Labour in 2024, We Brits have hobbled ourselves, with a 2 party Majority Parliament, And the Money behind the power, has used, that money, to shut down, folkmoot parliament, To Dictate, to the supposed, electorate, that will actually happen,
@tiggero6690

Keir has today confirmed that he has "changed the Labour party". Why he thinks this is a vote winner is anyone's guess. Labour will almost certainly get in, but only because the Tories are worse. I predict a great many spoiled voting papers - and probably a win for Count Binface, should he choose to stand.
"There is a network..." Its called the internet mate
I am pretty sure that Woodcock will keep his post under Starmer
"Defense Sites" is such Doublespeak.
So this guy's position is basically to criminalise any thought or action, be it criminal in nation or not, that disagrees with and/or challenges the establishment..... 👀Cool and normal. 👍
I just surprised he didn't say they were hammas.
Not so fun fact: one of Orwell's predictions in 1984 was the renaming of the Ministry of War to a less 'aggressive' name. Calling it the Ministry of Defence and Defence Sites is literally Orwellian.
“A Leicester defence factory” 😂
Somehow, terrorism went from the twin towers getting leveled to people feeling slightly uncomfortable at work 😂
It’s very strange that when independent advisers recommended raising MPs pay, they claimed they had to go by its findings because they were “independent” advisers, but when an independent adviser recommended something else (can’t remember exactly what it was) that the government didn’t like, they then claimed, it was advice from an independent advisor, so they didn’t have to go with what they recommended. Absolute hypocrisy, but that is what we find time and time again from that bunch of disingenuous money grabbing chisellers!
You should really do a piece on the group "Defend Our Juries." It's in an appeal now, and so much public money has been wasted trying to imprison a woman for holding a sign with the law written on it.
His independence is inspiring 😐

That 'independent advisor' was like some sick parody. I believe this shows the extent of his dehumanising of Palestinians, that it infuriates him, that anyone would stick up for them. To him it must be done out of venal spite, as no one could actually care about a Palestinian. In general his belief is, that the more someone upsets him, the worse their crime must be.' Like the law they were introducing in Florida, I think, where it would be a crime to insult a police officer, making him so angry he assaults you.
Didn’t the High Court just rule that Braverman’s anti-proest law is unlawful?

How can you describe an arms/components manufacturer a 'Defence site' when there isn't a guarantee that the arms aren't aren't being used for acts of aggression by oppressive regimes.
Grenbam Common women would be in for twenty years.
Now I'm not legal scholar but surely saying that people will have to make a monetary reparation for a vague "Loss of business", that I'm sure the courts will accept without any evidence, is a direct encouragement to maximise that amount of loss? The businesses will lie anyway and at a certain threshold they can't make you pay more money than all you can ever pay, so surely destroying the whole building in question is the only logical response?

Protecting democracy by silencing opposition. That's a normal English sentence.
Looks like the Tories were just the warm up act...the worst is yet to come.
The hosts were way too easy on him because they are part of the problem.
His thought process is obvious. "I don't like these people, how can I distort the law in my favour?"
I listen to the news agents religiously and I could not believe my ears listening to this! And you could hear Maitlis getting more and more baffled by it!
I’m 76, my family is English going back centuries. Sadly not wealthy enough to command political influence. We need to stop the super rich controlling political outcomes.
Sat reflecting, is funny that Woodcock and famous for being an absolute moron John Redwood seem to have a number of similarities.
I had no idea 😮what a reprehensible individual. Deeply troubling
He loves democracy, he loves the Republic.
We're more worried about two elderly priests hypothetically damaging the Magna Carta than we're concerned by the way the Tories have systematically torn the Magna Carta to shreds over the past decade.
