Genuinely damping the sound to start might have been the fix there because he was more agitated once the happy hoodie came off but with it on he was just chilling

My wife and I fostered a 150 pound Saint Bernard for several weeks who had been rescued from a situation involving domestic violence. He made our Anatolian shepherds look tiny. He smelled pretty badly of pee so we took him to our local groomer who fell in love with him and adopted him.

Wow, Tiny has really turned passive resistance into a higher art form. The way he uses his size and weight to almost-but-not-quite resist and make things more difficult is actually impressive to watch. And it makes my shoulders ache in sympathy.

my rottweiler was the same way. She realized that her mass was enough to get her way quiet often, she was short too so all she really had to do was lean the right way and you couldnt move her. She was well behaved generally so she was too polite to actively resist so she'd just kind of casually lean when you tried moving her.

I truly think that Vanessa’s thought process is ‘I know I’m not going to have help today, so let’s see what the biggest dog I have in my request list is’, because I swear it happens more often than not.

the video was amazing! he felt great after! thank you so much! for those asking we rescued tiny when he was only 5 weeks old(which is typically way to young) he was in a litter of 12 in a one bedroom apartment with his big saint bernard mama. The person who had tiny and all his siblings were about to get kicked out of their apartment so they had to give away all the puppies as soon as possible. Tiny’s favourite food is popcorn and whip cream and he’s very affectionate and just a gentle giant. We picked his name when we got him cause he was super tiny! he loves going for walks with his older but much smaller sister (a yorkie mix we also rescued!) and he loves swiming! thank you guys for all the love tiny would love to give a big hug to all of you!❤

my cats would do that when we took them to the vet - they thought if they hid in the farthest back corner of the cat carrier then that meant we wouldn't be able to get them out 🤣🤣

Tiny is such a big baby facing the corner and pretending you're not calling his name over and over again 😂 I absolutely adore him!

The grave tone in Vanessa's voice when she says, "Today I don't have help" is like, "I'm in here alone with this massive dog...now let's see how we get through this test..." never fails to bring a smile to my face!

I think it would be easier to be alone if she got someone to weld on an extra 4 posts to the corners of the drying stand and having them connect all together like a frame for better structural support to prevent breaking with heavy weight pulling at the top

I love how during the shower he did not like the shower, but once the dryer comes out he's like "nooo i want to go back to the shower!"

Big dog head tilts are the absolute BEST! Tiny was such a great name for him..he is adorable while also being large! 😂❤

Vanessa is quite simply the best. And Tiny is a happy, non-violent, good boy. What a treat.

@@mrstocksshe’s quite small. I think she was right around or just under 100 lbs. She weighed herself on camera to get the weight of a small dog. I’m pretty sure this dog would look like a pony next to anyone. 😀

A good friend just lost her St. Bernard Great Pyrenees mix. His name was Chief, and as far as he was concerned, he was a lapdog. I’m 5’0, and it was hilarious to see how he would try to climb into my lap when I sat on the couch.

No matter what the situation, Vanessa talks to clients with the sweetest of voice and mannerisms. Never any meanness in her voice. She is a true gem.

You can see how at 17:05 he is trying so hard to keep calm and let her do it even tho his paw is shaking and trying to escape the scissors What a good good boy ❤

Aww!! I love how happy Tiny got when Vanessa told him that he was being a good boy for letting her trim his nails. (I died when she was trying to tell this gigantic dog that weighs way more than her that he was being a bit of a baby - so funny and true! 😂) He looked so beautiful at the end that I wonder if the owner will continue to bring him. If they do, I hope that Tiny will get less and less scared of scissors and the whole grooming process. Tiny sure is a handsome dog - I love his particular shade of (St. Bernard aficionados, help me out here - orange? Red? Rust?) Well, whatever it is called, it's very rich and vibrant, isn't it? He may be stubborn, but he sure is a cutie. I love him. 🥰

At the beginning of the video, it says Tiny is a St Bernard + Bernese Mountain Dog mix. So, that may account for his particular rich color of coat. :)

I find watching you clean these sweet dogs very relaxing. Tiny is adorable.❤

I love how he physically looked away from you when you were trying to get to his paws, like “if I don’t see this, I can pretend it isn’t happening!”

He is a good boy, even though he was uncomfortable he didn't show aggressive behavior. Great job owners. 👍

Despite how anxious and uncooperative he could be, he was also so loving and happy to get pets and babying from his groomer anyhow, and I love that! What a good boy ❤❤You did an amazing job as usual, thank you for putting their comfort and quality of life at the top of your priorities!

Tiny is one of my favourites so far 😄❤ Gentle giant who at the same time is just big baby, being little bit dramatic about everything... because everything is end of the world.😂😂 But still so sweet and not even thinking to do any harm to little human lady who is clinging on to him.😄 And lesson of this video is that when something is not nice, just hide in the shower.🤣

I love watching this! I had a SB male and he wouldn't even enter the bathroom😂. I tried to bribe him with meatballs but there was no way. He used to "hide" when he realized I was going to cut his claws. Now I have an English Mastiff girl. Both very gentle and sweet. They can be soooo very stubborn😂😂! I just love the Molosser breed. you need a baby gate to block off the shower when you have to dry on the floor so they can’t go hide in there 😂 as nervous as he was he was still a pretty darn good boy, he didn’t bite/need to be muzzled so that’s always a good thing! his booty fur may have been crazy at the end of the groom but he still looked loads better and I bet he felt better with all that loose coat out so that’s what really matters, great work as always ❤
