I think red genuinely cares about yellow and duck, he's just also naturally unemotional.

Watching this episode again, I think it's safe to say Coffin Guy isn't really a teacher. (I know, you could say that about most, if not all DHMIS teachers, but hear me out.) He doesn't really have a song, he's not aiming to teach the group about funerals, causes of death, or anything like that. He comes across more as a guy here to do a job. That job of course being to hold the funeral, and then keep Duck dead and buried. No ulterior motives, or weird twist to their lesson, because they have none. They're just here to, well, take care of the dead. Weird observation I know, but it is something I noticed.

After my dad died I truly felt like Yellow, like it was all rituals and stuff and I was like in shock? And didn’t realize he was like dead until he was in his coffin and then I was like “wait my dad is never… never coming back, he stays in the hole…” as if I didn’t realize I’ve been waiting for him to just come back or something. Once again DHMIS truly understands what the hell we all feel.

Why does it reminds me of "Everyone Knows That" song

One thing to note is that this was the song they released to advertise the show. Only for it to be pushed back due to the Queen getting ready for the big day.

I love the humor in this. Makes the dark parts not so bad.

I love how this series has less secret commentary messages about children's. And instead just focuses on their own terrifying stories.

The idea has always been that a child has no lens into the world but the dogmatically accepted lessons, taught to them by people who are not what they seem to be. The way we shelter children, especially those with special needs, leads to their life being something of a dissociative parody of what the people around them were taught to tell kids.

"Memories help me remember him, the things he did, the live we lived~" Even for a show that gets twisted and dark (including the aforementioned song itself) this is an honestly wholesome and sweet moment about the lamentation of a lost one ^^~

Every time I rewatch an episode I always notice little details I hadn't noticed before, like how when Red is talking to his ID card, in the family wallet you can see Duck's ID card has his eyes x'd out because he's dead

I haven’t seen anyone discuss this, but this actually gives a reason why Duck Guy (and possibly Red Guy) comes back after DHMIS 5, and possibly why he acts so differently this season. The original Duck Guy was probably killed by the Health Band, and ever since he reappeared at the end of DHMIS 6 we’ve been following various clones. Edit: As @Evolution Pasta pointed out, Yellow Guy ALSO died in the show as well during DHMIS 2 since he told Colin “You made me die!” in 6. There may have been a few other times.

Duck dying in DHMIS 5 wasn’t even literal, all three of them are back at the end of DHMIS 6 after the machine is unplugged.

I feel like a dog eating an 100$ steak I can't even begin to appreciate just how much effort went into making this bravo, good job!

This is just honestly so sad. I was sobbing into my pillow when yellow was digging up duck’s grave. Poor yellow. He did not deserve any of this. It’s also sad that duck’s favorite color is red, and yellow’s is green. Duck is green, so it’s possibly a sign that yellow likes duck. Duck was always so mean to yellow. For example: Calling him stupid, biting yellow, rejecting him, Ect. But yellow always repaid him in kindness, yellow will always be remembered. The pink clay was like the new child of the family who couldn’t talk about his lost sibling. Red guy and yellow guy acting like the parents which seem very uncomfortable talking about their lost one. I could sometimes hear my dog make noises downstairs the first few weeks he died. Coming home from school every day expecting him to be there and then remembering that he’s gone hit hard. Worst part of my life so far. Never have I felt so bad

Oddly I'm happy this wasn't scary, felt more respectful, and somehow emotional, like the memory song, that part where they make the Shepard Pie was funny

Been watching these for years now. Feel like they’ve grown up with me. This one was comforting in a way. The beginning reminded me of my forensics teacher who would check the obituary everyday for himself. My best friend, the person I talked to the most, passed away suddenly almost 2 years ago. This episode single-handedly convinced me that this is just a comedy show with horror twists

The fact that Red guy is jealous, and that he said, "and we live in an actual nightmare" shows that he wants to escape, but how are they in this prison to begin with? 🤔 Also, was the old duck killed by the new duck, or did the old duck kill the new duck? I love how this is like some sort of Sesame Street thing and sometimes seems like it could actually be for kids but then there’s all the gore and stuff lol
