this is such a great commentary on diet culture and misinformation. the way that the meat guy names something ’healthy’ and then immediately contradicts it by saying it will make your teeth grey is so scarily similar to real things you hear about diets. ‘fat makes you fat’ but ‘go keto and only eat fats and proteins’, ‘carbs are unhealthy’ but ‘you should eat carbs for energy’, ‘eat fruit for vitamins’ but ‘fruit has too much sugar’, ‘dairy is a good source of protein’ but ‘dairy will make you gain weight’. as someone who has suffered from anorexia and bulimia and was constantly absorbed in articles about ’health’, this episode really hits home

I cant believe it took me 4 years to realize that the Duck Guy being "canned" was a visual pun of being "canned" in the industry. Like when a TV show gets "canned" it means it got cancelled or taken off the air. Or if an actor gets canned it means they are kicked off the show. Duck Guy gets canned because he broke the rules of what to do on set so he was kicked off the show.

These teachers seem to want to keep them infantilezed. Every time duck tries to push further (clown painting) or go deeper (time) they are ignored or halted. I think it's why their visibility childlike world is letting in such darkness and why it's so jarring with their childish Visage. I feel like the teachers are the media or the narratives we're fed. Because reality is distorted or suppressed it ends up deforming them. They are kept arrested in this childish aesthetic but the savagery of reality keeps breaking through.

This is by far the most disturbing episode but the best for me. I love the deep meanings throughout it,”you shouldn’t eat food from a strangers plate.” I’ve watched so many horror movies and I’m a big fan of horror,but this puppets show has scared me more than any horror movie I’ve ever watched… it’s the way it’s like some innocent kids show but deep down,it’s gory and filled with meaning. It’s the fact they hooked up a blood bag to duck so he would stay conscious and be tortured while this large figure was eating him alive… I felt nauseous when watching the large yellow guy eat duck alive,the animated gore and guts with ducks fear and the yellow guy laughing made me so disturbed and nauseous. This show is so good and disturbing at the same time,I thought it was a baby show when I was young but I was so wrong. This show traumatized me as a kid,but I’m kinda glad. Wanted to add on,as a kid… this big yellow food can guy who ate duck alive scared the hell out of me. It’s the way he looked and the way he was so evil,just laughing at ducks torture… and the way he just kept pulling those organs and eating them from duck,it made me feel sick when I was young. I love this show for that reason because they can make just a puppet show so disturbing and gross over a real horror movie,imagine if they made an actual horror movie… they have so much potential.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite episodes of all time. Above the tv series and all. The little details, duck’s “awakening”, THE GORE!! A lot of time and effort is shown in this video and even if at first this scared the crap out of me when i first saw it in 2019, I always come back to this video!! Also, this is SO catchy!! I personally believe that this is one of the episodes that truly defined what don’t hug me I’m scared is!

I think this is by far the scariest episode - Duck's increasing panic and discomfort - The meat guy's whole demeanor and tone of voice makes me insanely uncomfortable somehow - The gore, obviously - "You shouldn't eat food from a stranger's plate" - The random long pauses throwing you off - The weird improvised sounding rhythm and lyrics The whole thing adds up and it's actually unnerving af

I think this is by far the funniest episode -Duck’s sound effects, especially 3:57 -Yellow Guy’s mouth stuffed with organs looks so funny to me idk why -The meat guy knocking the human chart down, and then the chart makes a perfectly cut scream -The teachers (Especially the fridge) singing normally while Duck is suffering Edit: I also came up with some other reasons. -They’re very touchy with Duck guy -The meat guy’s feet tapping and speech patterns
