Really, this video highlights the issues with laptops, not sit stand desks(or makeshift variants).

I've got a T2-L2 fusion and I've found that the only thing that keeps me from 'hanging' off of my fusion is to sit VERY upright with a way to change my foot position every couple of minutes. (I use a bar as a foot rest for that.) But the biggest thing is to get up and WALK - slowly and gently - frequently. I can't sit or stand in any position for any extreme length of time without pain, so I don't do that. I take a lot of breaks. Right now we're designing my office and I've got three desks worked into the plan. I'm going to be able to move from sitting upright, sitting reclined, and standing (with the keyboard and screens at the right heights) as often as I need to. The goal is that, at no point, am I holding any one position for more than an hour. And I'm still going to be taking frequent breaks.

Very true! there's nothing ergonomic about using a laptop. The best practice would be to use a desktop PC or use a docking system for a laptop for a long period of use.

Lol why are you messing about with stools and chairs?! There are professional standing desks online that have two tiers... one for head height (Screen) and the other for keyboard height (Hands). Like the Harmoni standing desk for example.
