    It would work as long as your floors are even and solid- I would also reinforce quite a bit more and wood will not hold up over time as a counter top-getting wet often and stained with foods etc. I would go with stainless steel instead. Check out German kitchens as well since there you have to buy your kitchen.

  • @Abundanthealthcoach

    @Abundanthealthcoach

    6 жыл бұрын

    They did not and this the wood will buckle or become displaced over time because of this significant oversight. Should have also used clamps and glue and sanded down once all 3 pieces secured together for an even smooth surface. Why not just use one piece of 1 inch plywood and reinforce with framing so it doesn't buckle over time. I would buy cabinetry wood and do this bc it won't cost that much to buy single piece of wood so small.

    I'm just wondering how you reached the measurements for your three designs? Your 48" desk is comprised of two 18" pipes and another possibly 4" nipple. The wood may be another 1". I realize you may have gained a few extra inches from the tees but switching from the 48" desk to the 42" desk you swap out one of the 18"s for 10" but only lose 6"? It seems like it should be closer to losing 8". THEN what really perplexes me is going from the 42" desk to the 30" desk you swap the 18" for a 10" and instead of losing 8" you lose 12"???

  • @StReborn311

    I would guess since they are not inclined to cut the pipes shown, which are sold at those lengths and threaded. There is some amount of screwing them further into the fittings and joining pieces to come out to the stated heights. Totally seems legit to me. If you wanted a precise height it would mean cutting pipes and then subsequently threading them yourself which is a lot more time and effort.
