DON'T Eat This in the Philippines! 🇵🇭
Hitting the streets of Manila in the Philippines to find one of the most notorious street foods... Balut!
IG: YABOYSEAL
We took a trip to Quiapo in Manila. A busy area with one of the most popular churches in the Philippines, Nazarene. We quickly noticed that Jesus Merch was a hot commodity in this hood and had to get some of our own! Once we completed out side quest of getting merch we were onto our main quest of trying Balut. We found a stand that was selling the new and improved super Balut, a little less gross with all the sauces and seasonings! I gotta say it wasn't that bad! I hop you try it one day too!

You know Bro for your information, that Lord Jesus Christ replica is called "Black Nazarene". The Black Nazarene refers to a life-sized, dark-colored statue of Jesus Christ that was brought to Manila, Philippines, from Mexico on May 31, 1606, by the first group of Augustinian Recollect friars sent by Spain. The image was charred black in a fire that broke out on the ship during its trip to Manila from Mexico. It was believed by many people especially in Quiapo, Manila as miraculous! Actually, there has The Feast of the Black Nazarene (Filipino: Pista ng Itím na Nazareno), also known as the Traslación after the mass procession associated with the feast, is a religious festival held in Manila, Philippines that is centered around the Black Nazarene, an image of Jesus Christ. It is celebrated annually on January 9.

You made a good decision not skipping Manila, it has great character and mingle with locals you will never be bored
Next time better ask first to the tricycle driver before you aboard in their trike coz they been overcharge you. Just like a scammed you.
If you give money/food to those street kids, they will call for backup and then you'll end up with a bunch of kids following you around which will just annoy you so just don't give them any but it's nice of you to give a little 😊
You need to learn how to bargain. If they give it to you for 450 pesos, ask for it for 250 pesos. For sure, you can get it for 300 pesos.

Heal up soon dawg 🙏
Always go for a grab and not those local trike drivers who always take advantage of tourist
gulaman is vanilla and brown sugar base refreshment topped with home made chopped jello, its the most popular street juice in manila, and about the kids, some of them are legit begging for money to feed themselves but some uses the money to buy solvent that they sniff.
21:32 "Salamat" means "Thankyou" and then he said "Hindi" means "No" 22:38 that drink is called "Gulaman" they put some Jelly there and it taste so sweet 🤤
charge that to experience. the only ones who ride tricycles are those who live 3 to 5 mins from home. They usually charge P50 at the most.
JESUS MERCH LMAOOOOOO
There's a lot to discover out there...as a Filipino Ive never been to that place😃good for you guys👏
7:35 cant say HELL YEAH while wearing a holy merch! LOL
Enjoy your stay in the Philippines 🇵🇭, I hope you can experience how the Filipinos celebrate Christmas and New Year in the Philippines 🇵🇭. In one or two months, you can see the Christmas trees and Christmas lights and you can hear the Christmas songs too.
I love this adventure! Coz I really miss the chaos in Quiapo & those street foods! Love those shirts indeed!!
love your channel and adventures man. the way you explore the philippines stands out from most other creators. keep it up guys!
It seems like your filipino series gonna be lit 🔥 Btw why did you flew away from srilanka so quickly?
I love balut when I was small. We just eat it, we dont dissect whats inside😂. One thing I dont like eating in a balut is the white part. Sometimes its really hard like cartilage. Best part is the duck and the yellow part.
I suggest you if you are guys hopping on rides here, you can ask the bill first. 500 pesos ($5) is so damn expensive, I feel so bad for that kind of situation. I'm sorry guys :( (sorry if some my grammar is wrong, I don't have any confidence on speaking english :D)

Ba-bye, have a good day! Thanks for punching me! 😅😂😂
The Gulaman is a Vanilla flavored drink it is powdered and dissolved in water
damn that jesus merch got me laughing more than i should LOL
Not sure if you tried it but, defintely get some of the 'Filipino Steamed Rice Cakes'. It's made with coconut juice and sugar. Very yummy.
Gulaman juice is just a caramelized sugar and water then they put banana essence in there

Just got back from a RC car race in Manila. I can't wait to I go back in 8 months. Going to be a yearly thing
very nice couple except the irish dude, by the way i love your channel
those Jollibee beggars make you more annoyed at them rather than be sympathetic. like quit tapping on the glass homie!!
Balut isn't bad. Especially if you don't think about it. The worst thing about it was what looked like the egg white except it was hard like biting through cartilage. There are different stages of balut. Mine was just started to grow feathers.
The little boy who punch you he demonstrated like John Cena with his neck
yeah, youre an awesome travel vlogger. prefer your sense of humour, from a fellow canadian
enjoy your stay brother and sister.
Love the videos and all the way to heaven ❤😂😅😂
Bro, The Philippines is Catholic dominant if you didn't know and there's probably a Church near by.
Usually tricycle overpriced not only foreigners but also locals, be careful next time theres a lot of tricycles and taxis that taking advantage of their passengers.
Quiapo and Baclaran districts of Metro Manila are known for many folk Catholic merchs. Heheh. That black Jesus is an image of Our Father Jesus of Nazarene (Nuestro Padre Hesus Nazareno) one of the most revered images of Jesus in the Philippines with millions of devotees known as Hijos de Nazareno (Sons of Nazarene). People wears maroon Nazareno shirts to show that they are devotees of Jesus of Nazarene. It's very common in the Quiapo district. Filipino devotees could relate their life struggles to Jesus of Nazarene and His pain and suffering before and during His crucifixion. Devotees also claim that Padre Hesus Nazareno grants wishes to those who sincerly pray to Him. I myself experienced His grants.
Negotiate the fare first before you take the ride. Take it as a gift for those people if you think it is expensive. Be wise next time, not only in the Philippines but to all of your trips around the world.
yeah sir should established the price first for the tricycle, i really feel bad at those taking advantage of foreigners here in the Philippines. but anyway take care and more vlogs!
Nooo for 500 !!! My God.

Hello! If you're ever back in Manila, please let me know. I'd be happy to show you around and give you a tour of the city's rich culture and history. Although I don't have a car, I can take you on a walking tour. Here are some of the places we can visit: - Intramuros where you can try the best Liempo and Lechon Kawali - Happy Land and Aroma Slum tour - We can climb Manila's Smokey Mountain - My mom can cook sinigang for you and your companions - If you want to try Rabbit meat, I can arrange that for you - We also have a place where you can try goat meat - Let's also have a food crawl in the oldest China town - If you would like to visit the home for abandoned children and elders, I can take you there as well. My mom and I watched one of your videos where you passed by near our home. Hope to meet you soon!
