Don't buy this Toyota Hilux ute in 2024

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The details may all be released heading into the end of this year for the new Hilux, or it could even be sometime next year. But soon enough the biggest car manufacturer in the world will debut what they have been working on for years, their new flagship ute. The current spec hilux is enhanced to stay competitive in the market, but if it was me purchasing the current model brand new this year, I know that if I was to have it for under 12 months of ownership before there flash new one with groundbreaking features for the company was available to order, it was be a sour feeling.
Depending on the value of the previous gen utes when the new one is finally announced (they will most likely not lose much market value, this is Toyota we are talking about) you may not lose much of your investment at all, but still could be a pain to buy and sell vehicles so frequently.
If you are getting around in a beater car at the moment and would like a new 4x4, then patience might be a nice trait to have come a year from now. People always love having the newest stuff. And if you don't have the budget for the brand new one, more will hit the market for sure once all the early adopters start getting there next gen.

Bought a Hilux recently. It has most of the modern bells and whistles. Keyless entry, push button start, 9 inch infotainment screen, wireless android and carplay. New to hilux; disc brakes on the rear, wider track front and back to improve high speed twisted handling and rockcrawling. What cant be seen that is a constant, is superb construction, a thicker grade steel used throughout, d u r a b i l i t y!! Another constant: a simple yet reliable and best in class 4x4 system. You think the hilux is old, I cant understand there is a still a viable market for older, with old technology, toyota series like the 70!! Some people value reliability and simplicity over everything else. They may be boring, but live very peaceful lives!!

Why does Toyota sell? Durability, reliability, resale value, Superior engineering, Support network, high quality, high-value car. At least you know you'll get home no matter where you go.

I think a major issue that is holding back the release is that fact that the current Hilux is still selling in record numbers. Just look at data rom Feb 2024 sales increased 11.8% from Feb 2023.

I prefer the current model, it’s narrow the new one model likely to be wider puffed up body. I think most tradies will switch to 79 with the 2.8.

This is how Toyota has always done it for the past 30years…10 year cycle & the first generation of the last 3 Lux have had issues the last of this generation will be fine without any problems.

It might be a 10 year old car but what is has over a new one is R&D and time to improve and fix bugs and refine pieces of the car that were broken or aren’t preforming properly This isn’t a pro Toyota thing but look at all cars the first few years of a new platform are normally the worst ones Saying that 10 years is a long time and need a new entire platform come on Toyota make a new Ute at some point

It was nice as, one thing that was new to me was how strong the lane assist was against the inside line. It was on all the time too, not just on freeways. It doesn't stop you from turning or anything but these days cars try and hold your hand so much. It would be just a press of a button to turn it off each drive. Also, the dmax just had their first update since this new model was launched this year I believe, always nice timing to get the newest look / tech tweaks@@lagouthappydays1117
