I'm black, and I approve. He was a legend. No one was safe, and the reality is that he wasn't attacking people - he was attacking stereotypes. People could laugh at themselves back then and move on together. Now, people are more polite, but walking on eggshells and segregating ourselves. We ended segregation only to be more segregated. Ain't that some shit.

Asians have a prevalence for myopia. At one time in the early to mid 20th century, Japanese tended to wear a style of spectacles that used round corrective lenses. The high lens correction and the round lens format resembled the thick round glass base of a coke bottle. The reference to coke bottle glasses was a stereotype for anyone with a large refractive correction, including a nearsighted student who read many books instead of engaging in activities like sports.
