    I am kinda young (42), and have always loved stand-up. I don't know about all time, but definitely of my lifetime, and Richard Pryor and George Carlin were still active when I was a kid.

    i saw Rickles play a late show in the 70's. The language was X rated. The comedians of that era were restricted as soon as the cameras were there, & not through their choice.

    Don Rickles wouldn't be allowed on TV or the stage today. He was an insult genius and didn't care who you were. Everyone was fair game. As it should be. Comedy is comedy and has nothing to do with race or sex.

    @buckeyesfan2222 Exactly. Mr. Rickles performed in Atlantic City in 2016. He was still "Mr. Warmth" and just as Politically Incorrect and hilariously offensive. The show was a sellout. People LOVED him of all races. Why people think he wouldn't be popular today when he was in fact with us just 4 short years ago and still performing is beyond me.

    @@traviscarlson6718 Don said that some of his jokes were improvised and some were planned. It wasn't scripted but he certainly didn't go out unprepared.     Rickles at his best. I finally got to see him a just before he died. At the Orleans in Las Vegas. The cadence was slower, he had just recovered from an operation...but he was still Rickles. RIP.

    An all-star audience. That's my generation. @ 63 with life fading quickly, to reminisce of these days when family & neighbors still shared their lives with me, if it wasn't for Christ's promise to restore "life eternal" through faith, I would have given up long ago like far too many have.     Don Rickles was hilarious. I watched all the Roasts when new, but never saw any of Don's specials. 1973, I was age 12, and watched TV alot, during late 1960s and early 1970s.

    I saw Rickles live at a show, when I bought the tickets I had the opportunity to get seats within the first 5 rows of the stage but I deliberately bought my tickets further back so he wouldn't single me out, lol!

    I saw Marty Allen in the Audience ... I stole his "Hello Dere!" when I was just a Kid and it's the first thing I say to a Baby or Toddler ..... And They Always Smile and Laugh!

    Our WOKE television channels decide who gets on tv they are accentually Left Wing I have studied the people they have on, most are known left wingers I see Jo Brand is back after her suspension anyone on the right wouldn't get a second chance she got Carol Thatcher the push from The One Show all because she referred to a black tennis player as having a Golliwog hairstyle and it was said in the green room not on tv but they all ganged up on her including Adrian Childs who was there too also a known Labour voter they are foul people ! 😱

    A great comedian who could throw out the insults and it was funny. Too many people today are too much into being PC and can't laugh at themselves. Oh, how I miss this kind of comedy! PC pretty much killed comedy!

    Watching one video of Don is awesome. Watching them back to back you really get a sense of the sharp wit and comedic timing that sets him apart from others.
