I feel soooo old now. As a kid I grow up with John Wayne movies and all this AMAZING, unbelivable talented artists of the '40s,' 50s, '60s,' 70s, '80s .... I can't even mention more names because they are so many and it will be very unfair. I was growing up into a society that was afraid of nuclear war but at the same time a society of amazing research and achivements. A society of amazing humans. TITANS that are maybe the only reason why I don’t totally hate this world. When the last of these people will leave this life ... I think my life will also end. We cannot live without landmarks, the light beacons that guided us throu life even more than our family.

I'm 64, married 37 years. Before cable here in Brooklyn, when my wife and I got married, a couple of years before VCRs (jeez, this sounds like a Rickles set-up line) the both of us would check out TV Guide magazine (remember print?) to see when Rickles was on Carson and stay up late. By 1982 or '83 one of the reasons why we got a VCR was to record unique live TV performances... invariably most were about Rickles. He was an insult comedian, who was not insulting. He laughed with you, never at you. He went close to the line, on the line, and over it sometimes, yet never cursed, etc. and was never mean spirited. What a loss to all of us this year. R.I.P. to Don Rickles.

I was maybe 10 in Bosnia, then Yugoslavia, when I watched Kelly's heroes. A superb movie. Clint Eastwood has been one of my best actors, but only recently have I found out what a roaster Don Rickles was. A "cold-blooded killer".

This was so funny. If anyone is interested in more Don Rickles go watch the 75th birthday celebration party for Don Addams (Maxwell Smart) at the Playboy Mansion. Rickles destroys him. It's too funny.
