    Ginnie passed in April this year. Bob's the last one of the four still kicking. What a life to have lived. What a group of classy, great people.

    I like Newhart so much - loved both his famous shows and yes his commitment to his wife and family was so admirable. I did think his friendship with Rickles was confusing until you see the love they have for one an other. He's 94 now and I am so pleased he has lived a wonderful life - so deserved.

    Judd you seem to never fail to bring.... humor, sweet, gentle, affectionate humor. Feeling nostalgic and sad, especially today, my beloved husband who passed a week ago, it is his birthday today, would have treasured this gift you brought us all today.

    Love this. Judd also honored Garry Shandling with a great documentary after he passed on and I think it's great that he's doing it as these are comedians who deserve as much remembrance as possible

    It was very similar with George Burns and Gracie Allen with Jack Benny and Mary Livingston. George Burns and Jack Benny were the dearest of friends

    I was already tearing up as the documentary progressed but when Don Rickles sang at the end I started bawling. I am so grateful for the humor that Don Rickles brought to my life and the humanity dignity respect and love that he promoted as a human being.

    I used to stay up and watch Carson with Rickles. It was fantastic and still makes me laugh. This is a wonderful documentary.

    I'm in England. We never had Don's shows here, or the roasts, but he did appear on TV on the very odd occasions. Bob's series was shown here, and I never missed an episode. When the internet happened he was one of the first Comedians I looked for. Incredibly clever and funny.

    Two great comedians, two very different styles. Newhart was a class act. Rickles was a wonderful insult comedian, and celebs would feel insulted if he DID NOT go after them. He made us laugh at ourselves. We need another Rickles again, we’ve forgotten how to laugh.

    What a wonderful documentary! My parents loved them, my husband and I love Newhart & Rickles, American Treasures~ wish we could have seen their Vegas shows. Newhart is now 94, amazing! Rest in peace his wife Ginnie, Don Rickles and his Barbara.

    I've watched this twice in 2 days, their friendship is exactly the same as my dad and my godfather. They are both in heaven now and life isn't quite as funny or as colorful without them. A wonderful film. Thank you very much for posting this.

    I’d forgotten about their friendship. Pair of geniuses. My parents owned the first Newhart and I think Driving Instructor was one of the earliest external influences on my own sense of humour. What a beautiful piece of film.

    Don rickles did a form of comedy that we did as kids,it made our skin thick. Our parents dished it out too, and we lapped it up. Stopped a lot of fights with that. 😊

    "I miss them.. I'm going to cry". wow... that was so beautifully moving that sums up a beautiful, full and fulfilled life. it's sad but I know it shouldn't be, this documentary is one of the most moving things one of the best friendship pieces I've seen in my whole life and it shows you the value of friendship of love of camaraderie, but also life's journey all journeys come to an end and that's the part that sucks of getting older but the constellation prize is for the blessed individuals that have full lives beautiful friendships and wonderful memories thanks Judd.

    Yep, me cry. They both made me laugh practically my entire life. It’s Christmas Eve 2023 and I miss my mom and my grandmother who both, correctly, disliked my ex wife.

    I think Bob's wife has passed away now, since this was made. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.) I've known about Don and Bob's friendship for quite a while and have watched interviews of them together.     Just yesterday I was listening to Conan O’Brien’s podcast, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, the one with Mike Birbiglio as his guest. These two comedy greats wound up talking at length about Don Rickles comedy, not only his deadly aim but his speed of delivery.
