I appreciate the strategy overview.

Actually the Spire Horn Seraphs can be pretty effective with summon storm power for lightning strikes in a pinch. Not as good as Thunderstrike spam, admittedly, but not awful given the price. Also, Spectral Mages can be summoned by a D2 Harab with a Skull Staff and potentially offer S2, E2, and W2. Not especially gem efficient, but if you need the paths and have the death gems to throw around (presumably with a pretender who lacks the necessary mix of death and fire or to help search astral before they wake up) it's not a completely terrible choice. Speaking of the pretender, I prefer to run her dormant. I love scales builds but the astral sitesearching and earlier reliable hammer access is pretty nice. O2P2C3G3Mis2Mag0 gets the job done, though it's a shame to give up the Magic. Might be able to toss a point of Order or Prod for a Magic boost, though it's a bit iffy given how reliant your warriors generally are on achieving critical mass. Also, on the imprisoned build especially, you can safely surrender a point of fire in exchange for two points of water (or nature if preferred) to ease your woes there, since you can throw together a Skull of Fire pretty easily to let you summon the Greater Daevas.

Something you didn't mention that I think is worth mentioning is that your death level 6 conj summon has a chance to break you into astral, because one of the yatas has A3 this means you could theoretically ignore astral for your pretender (although I don't think that's a good idea, tbh)

You can keep your men on the ground by telling them to 'Fire' or 'Hold and Fire'.

would you be interested in a multiplayer game base on the mod hellenika for dominions 5 its like base around greeks and add of bunch of faction and updates to already existing nations like Therodos and more! we will be playing it after Christmas if your interested i can send you the link to the discord if not its fine keep them videos coming your doing a great job also its not like a regular dominions 5 game its has role playing to it

I'm not going to be playing any MP games other than evening blitzes for a minute here but thanks for the invite, can't commit to longer games for now. I love the Hellenika mod, possibly my favorite nation mod in the game. Karanaac and Nephelococcygia are my favorite nations from it.
