Domnhall Gleeson is extremely likeable.
Anyone who’s spent a period of time in a collective of truly creative people will resonate with this film. The joy, the sadness, the frustration-and then those pockets where we’re hitting that flow, and knowing it. The instinct is to smash it down into something marketable and likeable… but in a collective of artists, one or two will never be willing to forsake the art-true art can make money and fame, but is never the motivation. It’s such a fine line they captured with the film. One of the best movies of all time.
I watched this movie for the first time a week ago, and I can't get it out of my head. Especially the final scene. I can't wait to watch it again. What a unique, weird, wonderful movie.

Yeah for sure, I've seen probably a couple thousand movies or so and never anything quite like this. I feel like I'm gonna be unpacking it for a while. Definitely seems to warrant repeat viewings. And I'm sure outside of that some of it's songs will pop into my head and fester til I listen to/watch them again.
i laughed my head off when he said million teeth grin! i love fassy shark grin😙😂😂

Frank is the greatest film I've ever seen.
I found the movie incredibly satisfying at the end. Funny and sad but, mostly, satisfactory. Happy, even. Hopeful, definitaley
i just watched this film today and i feel uplifted, hopeful, manic, & joyous at the same time. perfect cast. perfect music. i'd like to hug everyone involved.
Feels like domhnall is talking right into my sole
I saw Frank perform many times and met him he was incredible. Such a missed presence at Rebellion punk festival 😢
this movie was awesome. fassbender and glesson did an excellent job.
This movie is art!
Saw this at the LA Film Festival, it was amazing!
Oh Micheal and your 1 million teeth grin!
Frank USA release date is August 22 2014 (limited) from imdb.
05:28 Aww his smile! So handsome 💜😍💜
This movie was beautifully directed, I loved it. But I didn't find it funny in the way that it's being portrayed in this trailer though. And I guess it didn't seem like too much of a comedy to me, either. It was funny, don't get me wrong, I definitely laughed quite a bit, but the deeper meaning behind Frank and music and the message in general changed the feel for me. This movie made me question how I live my life, dude.

That's how marketing work. It's easier to market a comedy than something more deeper than that and it gets more people to go see the film. I'm okay with that because if no one showed up there wouldn't be movies like Frank. That's why I avoid most trailer now (also for the spoiler but that's some other thing).
for real, how many teeth does fassbender have? It looks like at least a hundred

Kinda sad that they arn't selling any merch for this film :(
Its like he's looking right at me man.
Micheal Fassbedner is awesome, hes shaping up to be a really great actor, he should play 007 James Bond one day, cant believe no one can see Fassbender as Bond. But I bet as soon as he toned up people would suddenley see it then wouldnt they.

Leeds Lass forever God damn!! sorry to swear in lord's name but thats such a shame. Hes such a great actor, and the guy just oozes charisma. I hate actors who are lady's man they annoy me but Ive always admired Fassbender, he doesnt seem to play upto that really. Wonder why he backed off?? If he can do X-Men and Alien movies, why not the Bond franchise!?

Apparently he thinks someone younger should be the nxt Bond. I don't mind too much as I'm not a bond fan but I would have to watch them if Fassy was him lol he's such an extraordinary actor and person 😊

Leeds Lass forever Id have to say I disagree with him here, I dont think Bond needs to get younger. The 007 license is earned by veterans, like SAS types, so being arnd early 40s is logical for Bond. But Im no Bond expert either thats just how I see it. If the studio want to go for a much younger Bond, thats not good cause that then seems like they are looking to change and go further away from the main structure of the James Bond novels. What next Bond isnt going to sleep with any woman to obtain secrets and information to complete his mission?? lol sorry but yeh Fassbender could just bring so much to the role and hes even near the right age too, but thats gone now. If hes said himself he doesnt want to play the role then thats it. But if you like him alot, plz check this out and compare it to pics of Micheal Fassbender. www.google.co.uk/search?q=Ian+Fleming+James+Bond+Sketch&client=firefox-b&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjDm6T51NDRAhVsIsAKHaTGAYwQ_AUICCgB&biw=1024&bih=670&dpr=1.25#imgrc=BW_iH-yym7yRfM%3A
Great film! Loved it.. Buy the DVD as soon as you all can.
the most disappointing part of this movie for me was the fact that they didn't actually release an album to go with it (YET *crosses fingers*). i need to find a similar fantastic punk-alternative trash band to fill the gap in my soul ASAP

(still not like, the actual album - it's the OST and has a few songs on it but i mostly meant like, how great it would be if they released a full soronprfbs album. NEARLY AS GOOD THO)

steve cheevers I don't think it is sad at all, nor do I think it deals with mental illness as the main issue (I think it is about being an outsider). Perhaps it has painful moments, but for me it is real rather than sad.

Hmm, could be an interesting Bond. I wonder if he'd actually do it though.
why put the captions in the middle of the screen over the people's faces?
I think US release is August 2014
I want to see this sooooooooo bad.
Abrahamson was right. Frank really could have been a terribly forgettable movie but it had just the right amount of understated passion and humanity that you can't help but feel drawn to it. It's not pushy or pretentious. It has the perfect amount of weirdness to make you feel like you can see your own life in a similar way.

I thought the same but the movie is fantastic
could it b possible that his illness was of the soul, the psyche, the "heart"? and many of those "mentally ill" in mental hospitals r just troubled and tormented souls, which in fact has no connection to the mind, the reason...to me there r no strange ppl, just unique and with an inner beauty that sometimes is so deeply hidden by morals, that they themselves forget it
How come in the movie his accent is American but it’s northern English otherwise..?
blabber blabber blabber blabber see the movie it was good.
subtitles at the bottom ! unwatchable
!!! SPOILERS !!! I keep reading everywhere that this film is a comedy. I'm not a cynic, but I honestly didn't laugh once, the vibe I got was actually pretty serious. It's got people going crazy, loosing their minds, becoming suicidal, lot's of disappointments, stabbing and general feeling of hopelessness. Also Jon invests his life-savings and puts his everything into the project only for it to be ruined and then reunited but without him. The story to me is pretty sad. The only funny things were band names
@lovelexi19

I agree, there were a couple chuckle moments for me but a heck of a lot more sadness and pain. I would say the film was about the human struggle to fit-in while also trying to find yourself.
@johnny88j9
Жыл бұрын
You missed the point, at the end Jon despite his flaws survives unlike the previous two keyboard players and realises his own limits in life, what he does do is take Frank beyond his limits due to anxiety and reconnects him with his band in a much deeper way. Both of them transformed one another.

This is a terrible interview, they basically play the entire movie in between their answers. DO NOT WATCH if you don't want some of the best moments to be spoiled.
