Same, though I understand cats and dogs are far ahead in the race for humans' hearts. Evolution made them that way. The structure of modern life keeps them there.

Around a year ago I was about to walk my dog Jester and found a tiny kitten staring up at us when we opened the door. She was so small but walked right up to Jester who is 140lbs with no fear. Instead of a walk I scooped her up and we went to the pet store instead. The nice lady said that she was only around two or three weeks old and would need to be bottle fed for a few weeks more and helped me get everything needed to keep her alive. It was hilarious watching this tiny little kitten follow this huge dog around and they quickly became the best of friends. I named her Lilith and she’s grown into a beautiful long haired tuxedo cat. I never considered sharing my home with a cat before that day but I can’t imagine her not being here with us now.

I have a Tuxedo cat who I rescued from a trash bag when she was close to 2 months old. They’re so absolutely sweet and calm. She brings so much peace to me. Cats are amazing.

To anyone reading this that wanted a cat that looks like Mochi pls don’t buy cats like her. Don’t support greedy breeders that only breed for aesthetics at the cost of cat’s general well being. Munchkins have very many health issues. On top of that Mochi is also part Scottish fold which have very many health issues as well. Breeding to an extreme just for aesthetics is beyond cruel. 😭 God bless the couple that give Mochi a forever home. She will need lots of love and care.

For nearly a half century I was a dog guy. But, a spinal infection crippled me and after my last Boston died of old age I switched to kitties. And I've loved mine just as much, just endlessly fascinating. I love this channel because it realizes that we humans can have great relationships with all of God's animals, not just one or two species.

She is a beautiful little girl. I thank these people for taking her in and giving her a forever home.

Never was a cat person. Can't have dog where I live. On my second formerly feral kitty. All the love for a warm home, food and clean litter box. 🤔❤🙀😺🙏

My boyfriend, the staunch dog lover, is now converted to cats. Every time we see a stray or feral, he say "We have to help him." ❤

Poor baby kitty! She's just precious...

Cold and distant everyone says about cats as mine refuses to let me sleep unless they are in the bed with me, use the bathroom without being in the room, has to be in the same room as me, next to me or in my lap if I'm playing a game or reading and meows constantly if they hear me, can't get to me and/or doesn't see me

She is the cutest little cotton ball. Her parents are so sweet. They are all lucky to have found each other.

She is absolutely adorable!

I have loved my kitties for 62 yrs. Unconditional love, entertainment, cuddles and friendships. My first Dog I got from a breader which I learned I ended up rescuing her. A 5 yr old Sheltie named Lola…. She was my love and support for 5 additional years. Way too short of a life. I can’t wait to be with my fluffs again that I’ve lost. My best friends 😕❤

We have three cats and even though they have quite different personalities, they are all very affectionate and just want to be next to you at all times, we call them cling ons because they stick to you like Velcro 😂

Thank goodness she was rescued. Such a shame she has so many health issues. This is what can happen when bad breeders don’t know what they are doing. This kitty looks like she had spinal issues and was probably the breeding of Scottish fold which can have numerous genetic issues and probably Munchkin which has short legs which can also have issues.

Did you say some people bought her from China? (As if there are no cats here) And then when she got sick they abandoned her. Disgusting people. She's so lucky to have you guys. And you got a great little kitty.

Mochi most probably a Scottish fold munchkin. Adorable-looking but this breed of cat will probably live in pain for the rest of their life. It’s truly a blessing she’s adopted by a loving family. 😭 Edit: She’s not a Scottish fold. Mochi got her ears amputated.

@@daydreameraj9777 I'd like to clarify that munchkins 'being in pain' is a widely distributed false rumor. Because Some(not all) vets/animal activists decided to falsely claim that they had the same issues as Dachshund dogs. I've had munchkins most of my life and none of the ones I had developed arthritis or had any pain. My oldest rn is almost 15 and she still runs and jumps like a bullet. I suspect there could be old age related arthritis(because shes old) but the vet check was inconclusive; if she does it's too mild or minor. It's sad how much misinfo goes around about munchkin cats. Only recently did they publish a study that they are a healthy breed, but only one. In truth Munchkin cats are just super happy cats- and they somehow keep a youthful vigor their whole lives. Out of the 6 munchkins i've had, not a single one of them suffered from rumored munchkin related health issues. Only one of them had asthma because of her ragdoll ancestry.

@@daydreameraj9777 I think she's a persian cat. You can tell from her face. Round face? ✅️, small button nose? ✅️, big round eyes? ✅️. Yup, she's definitely a persian munchkin for sure.

When I was a kid, the Humane society near us, used to keep all the puppies and kittens together. It was really neat to see them sleeping and playing.

Sweet story and I really hope the owners will get a companion cat for Mochi. Cats are such social creatures: it's really ideal for them to have another companion cat that they can cuddle with, sleep with, play with.... in addition to the love from their humans.

Might be true to some cat, but all cats are different. One of my cat is a total loner and won’t get along with other cats, but she trust her humans and would look for us whenever she need to social. For some cat that connection with their humans are enough social interaction for them, because they do see and think of us as their family.

I’m thinking you’re neither a dog or cat person but instead a loving person and you sir are living your best life too.❤️

When an animal brings you that much joy and happiness… spoil the shit out of it. I’m glad Mochi found such a wonderful home and changed this guy’s opinion on cats along the way.

Oh I'm sure she knows how much she's loved!! animals have more understanding of emotion then most people realize. That's why they're always there to cheer us up when we feel blue.

Someone commented her ears were amputated. For trap and neuter procedure ? If true, they did a horrible job by cutting 2 ears, when usually its just one ear.

She's not a TNR cat, she wss bred by some jackasses in China and bought by even bigger jackasses in Boston and shipped all the way around the world to them. Which is probably where she got the infections that caused her to lose her leg and part of her tail. They then dumped her at the SPCA and thankfully they got her back to health and these lovely people adopted her. Don't be spewing disinformation.

What an adorable and silly cat. Because he’s a new cat person, it will be wise to cut her claws on a regular basis so she’s used to it, so she doesn’t get her claw caught on anything.

I am a cat person who fell in love with our dog! I knew her for three years when she belonged to my mother-in-law, but I never imagined once we took her in, I would form such a bond with her. She is a Mama's girl all the way!

Oh,,......for sure....Mochi knows how much she is loved by you guys! Thanks for taking a chance on a cat. We had five at one time.....and now we are down to one. The house is SOOOOOOOO empty now. But caring for 3 special needs cats and a super feral male was pricy and time consuming....to the point where we couldn't travel. Since the pandemic...,we lost 4! So crushing to the heart and soul. On the fence about how to move forward. We shall see.
