We had dogs before and my hubby told me not to adopt cats. One day i happened to help an abandoned kitten on the highway. After few months adopting the kitten, my husband said the dogs are my kids and the kitten now is his kid. 😅😅

You never ‘need’ cats. That’s what’s so magical about them. You’re not gonna score “neighborhood tough guy” points, for example, by owning cats. They are just there with you, and the love you give them is the love you get back from them.

Just like my husband! We found a tiny kitten under the hood of a truck at work. My husb said “I don’t want any damn cat in my house!” So I told him I was NOT leaving him! And w/he wud come home he would say “Smōk, Daddy’s home!” And up on his shoulders he would go! He also helped him thru his cancer treatments. They became best buds and 7 yrs later, he’s STILL a member of the family!❤❤❤

My Dad, who always said he hated cats, told me and other family members, dogs were always friendly and eager to please,, while cats were aloof, standoffish and acted superior until they wanted something, then it was meows and kisses. I told him, so you're saying cats are smarter than dogs. My uncles, didn't let him live it down for weeks. Oh, we did have several cats growing up, we'd catch him petting them when he thought nobody was watching.

True story. I rescued a stray, 'Trinity', a tiny black cat, and while she was happy to be a kept cat finally she still wouldn't let me touch her for another whole year. Then my brother 'broke' her down by feeding her expensive ham, lol (he'd only let her have it by taking it from his fingers -- so he could then pet her simultaneously)...and within months she did a 180 and became my belly/lap cuddle buddy for the next wonderful 10 years we had together. RIP to both of them.

That's me too! My wife rescued an orphan kitten that I didn't want. 15 years later, I'm her best friend. She's by my side constantly.

I've got two cats now. And the only regret is, I didn't get them sooner.

It says a lot about a person who loves animals.

We can clearly see true love in those men, in how they treat their pets.

Before I came in my husband's life, he didn't understand cats and hated them, then I came, and we took in 2cats, since then he loves them😂❤ now we have 11 cats and 2 dogs❤❤❤❤❤

Once, my mom spotted the cutest kitten in the pet store. She wanted him so bad but my dad didn’t want to get another cat(we had a lot of animals at the time). After a lot of insistence, the next day, dad said we could get him if he was still there, thinking he likely was already snatched up since kittens go so quickly. Six years later, my dad is Cottonball’s favorite and dad agrees he’s a great cat 😂

My Dad was always good about animals, but he laid down very strict rules he broke. Like "don't feed them from the table " and he would drop a tidbit with a special underhand serve. CAUGHT YOU!

Okay raised a dog person I recently became a cat-person. As a guy I am glad to see I am not the only one who affectionately babies their cat 😊

I feel like I can't Love my cat enough.

We grew up with dogs but my dad always said no cats! Then later in life after we were all grown, my mom found a cute little kitten living in a tree in her backyard and a hurricane was approaching. Long story short my dad fell in love with that little kitty.

True. With a cat there are no uncomfortable parent/teacher meetings, family counseling, no homework helper and on and on. Just fun and lots of love.

I have always had cats but after my 17 year old passed away, I didn't want another one. Two months later I was given a kitten that was given up for adoption by an elderly couple. Five years later I'm so glad I have this wonderful, affectionate handful of trouble. "Baby" is so active and such a love.

The last time we lost one of our beloved cats was so especially painful we weren't sure we'd ever get another one, knowing we'll still have to face the loss of his "sister" kitty. A year later, our little princess was at the vet for a few days. While Hubby was visiting her one afternoon, he saw a little paw sticking out of a nearby cage and undoing the latch, then a groggy ginger kitten rolled out of the cage, onto Hubby's feet and into his heart. When I came by the vet after work to see our girl Amber, Hubby introduced me to this adorable kitten and described how he rolled onto his feet. The vet said that a few weeks before, his wife arrived at the office, heard a strange sound under the hood of her truck and found this tiny stray kitten that had somehow managed to ride several miles somewhere under the hood and arrive without even a scratch! 🙀🥺🤯 We adopted the little guy Rusty a year to the day after we lost our other boy and he has been such a delight and comfort to us.😻

They come into your life at the right time

I take care of 5 cats of 2 close friends of mine when they are away and I simply LOVE them. It's like the video says: they can become "addictive" hehe....I can spend hours just having them on my shoulders or in my arms. Thanks for the video.

Cats are amazing creatures, they are like babies, full of love and cuddles. The purring is therapeutic to me, they can elevate your mood and cheer you up when you aren't in a good place. And at 4:17 I do the same if I give them popcorn! I bite it in half and make sure there isn't any hard kernels.

The "Should I leave..." slide makes me think of the song with perpetual "Should I stay or should I go now..." and how it applies to both sides of each slide. My dad was never fond of pets, though he let me have plenty of them, but of course when he was putting up wainscoting in the room of his first grandchild, my cat always hung out with him and I could hear him periodically talking to her. He called her his "number one chief inspector".
