Also, here in the US, it's illegal to have wolf-dog hybrids because of their wild instincts.

My puppy was a lot more wolf than I thought... which I guess would explain why he is 123lbs of muscle... but he looks like a bear... so I just assumed bear. Found him at a shelter on death row cause he was so big no one wanted him, so naturally I took him home. Got the land for it so it’s fine. He is very sweet. Trails after me like a baby duck. And takes up over half my king size bed. Gets along well with everyone else on the land. Though he seems to really have a problem with woodpeckers... this is just me bragging that I have a giant teddy bear. The best bear. 10 out of 10...

@@ordrep1 he is just a rich Brazilian who imported an example from Europe. I don't believes it's registered as he just wanted it as a companion animal and has a thing against some Brazilian breeders due to their practices with the fila Brasileiro. Carib versus fci Brasileiro standards and health issue breeding problems found in cao fila sao de miguel show lines. Essentially just find breeders and be willing to pay the import tax and deal with the importation hassles and quarantines. I do believe he imported it as not a czech wolfdog though. Husky shepherd mix. Similar to how kangals can be gotten out of turkey registered as non kangal types or as mixed breeds. What animals or breeds of dog in speciric. And for what purposes. Dependant on answers and goals might be able to help. However heads up. For most breeds especially wolf dogs. You won't get them before 12 weeks, and the dogs despite potential health issues unless very speciric breeds are always fixed unless you're willing to wait till 6 months or a year or take older animals. Unless you pass their breeding standards and agree to work with them for health and breed preservation purposes for normal breeds. And generally only more rare breeds and only to people capable of being stuf and dam owners and willing or able to be breeders for preservation programs. And if it's for grail or status type animals. I suggest rare dog breeds or dingo first as easier to handle and safer. Although Czech wolfsog and saarloos are my personal wolf hybrid recommendations to start out with. You want 1 of 2 situations. Local breeder meaning bonding to you and imprinting on you starting day 10. Or after 12 weeks or bare minimum after they've been socialized by others. Downsides and travels to high content wolf dogs. Whoever imprints on the dog especially if they handle any specialized training. Will always be able to control you dog. And means there's always one person beyond whoever you work towards who can get a friendly reaction even from working attack dog type raised hybrids. For guard animals. Most hybrids are useless. My favorite trained usage of the wolf hybrids. Is general purpose working dogs. And primarily as companion and wilderness guide dogs that are trained to literally disobey you and try and communicate to you that that direction isn't safe. As well as alert to any dangerous animals following or getting too close. Use their sense of preservation and natural fear reactions to their advantage along with the sensory factor advantages. Study wolf behavior first. And find breeders that use early neurological stimulation. And a mix of super puppy rearing early on till very very positive type corrections can be used along with bribery training. And account for potentially needing a good few miles of area to let them loose on to burn themselves out. They're fast and have endurance for days. Smarter so containment can be hard if you get one with an escape artist personality. Really consider before getting one. They're a till death breed. Consider it like a marriage and it risks loosing half of what you own and make for the rest of your life.

A foster dog I rescued from death row was listed as a wolf dog. He was actually malamute & German shepherd to even my moderate knowledge. He was almost put down for nothing but fear of how he looked.

TartarusIvy That happens all too often with people mistaking bully breed dogs for being a pit bull. I don't advocate any dog or wolfdog being murdered based on breed only. I am a dog trainer and have volunteered my skills at an animal rescue for over nine years. Most of the dogs that come through the rescue are pit bulls or bully mixes. I have not known a more loving breed. They are very devoted to their people and love children. Pit Bulls and Staffordshire Terriers make excellent family dogs in the hands of experienced dog owners. Pit Bulls do not make good first-time owner's dogs. This is due to their strength. Plus a pit bull needs early socialization with other dogs They also need lots and lots of exercise plus mental stimulation. If they don't get these basic things, they can become very destructive.

I had this DNA test done on my Wolf-dog puppy not so long ago. He’s almost 11 months old now. He’s 25% Gray Wolf, 25% Alaskan Malamute, and 50% Siberian Husky. I knew of the husky and wolf in him, but had no idea he had any Malamute in him. He has an all white coat with cream accents and one normal golden eye and blue/white husky eye that also half golden brown.

I too suffer from depression. The things that I do to help myself get out of the funk is: I do a lot of meditation, I am surrounded by positive, uplifting loving people. I also find that eating a lot of natural foods does help a great deal. Taking a vitamin B12, Super B-Complex, and a vitamin D3. So hopefully those tips can help you if you try to start to implement those small things.

Very interesting! I think the 25% makes sense, as although she may have other wolf-like behavior characteristics, she is very engaging and affectionate whereas the higher content ones tend to be more aloof. The German Shepherd is by nature a companion dog and bonds very strongly to its owner, so I can really see that in her behavior towards you. She is gorgeous, by the way!

HELLO FROM ISRAEL :-) You are amazing! I've been raising dogs for about 41 years. Since I was 5. My first was a real wolf just like from the forest. Colors of black and light gray. I was able to handle it and tame alone. Later, I had a special German shepherd who came to me when he was 3, after being abused until this stage. After two weeks the dog ate out of my hand and listened only to me very much. In addition, he trusted me about other people who tried to approach him. And other dogs, some mixed breeds. The last of these - Piranay is involved with English Pointer. Born and passed away in my hands at the age of 14 (98 Dog years!). He Weighed 55 kg, and had the appearance of a piranay, with character partly piranay and many of the pointer. He was an alpha dog. I trained him so well, to the point, that I talked to him like a human being, and he did and understood everything. Your dedication is noteworthy. I follow your videos and learn a lot. THANK YOU SOOO MUTCH! XOXOX

Form the time I was a little girl I have loved wolves more than anything and had always wanted to have one as a pet when I was about 12 and living with my aunt she rescued a low-content wolf hybrid that we named Jessie. Jessie and I bonded almost immediately I was the only one who was able to approach her when she ate and she would lay her head in my lap while I sang to her and she would "groom" me as to say I'm part of her pack, I was very sad to be informed of her recent passing as I moved in with my grandma I'm hoping in the future to own a saarloos or Czech wolfdog, and I'm so glad I found your channel because you're someone who loves wolves as much as me and I love to watch your videos. :)

I did one of these! My dog looks straight Rottweiler with a grey undercoat you can't see unless you brush against the grain, he's 50% Grey Wolf and 50% Rottweiler. I was told he had some when I got him as a pup, didn't realize how much!

thats astounding as I cant see ANY wolf content in him at all. He looks exactly like any stray dog you would find that has rottweiler content mix. I have one from Romania that looks the same. I would love to see your DNA results
