Does This Software Improve Your Internet Speed

Does This Software Improve Your Internet Speed
So many people want to lower latency and improve ping while gaming, but does TCP Optimizer really speed up your internet and improve FPS as many KZread videos claim? There are so many variables to take into account, like your internet package, type of internet package, what time your connecting to internet, how saturated you connection is, what servers your connecting to and where from and much much more. You have probably watch some claiming how to reduce lag and increase internet speed for gaming or lower latency for gaming or lower ping for gaming. These are not possible with TCP Optimizer.

A good video Brian for those who want this - personally as I live on Australia where internet connections and speeds offered are very poor if you live outside of a major city or township. So I will not be trying this software as I can see no advantage of trying to up the speed of my connection simply because my provider and many others do not have the facilities (infrastructure) to give us a decent speed at the moment I can only get a 50Mbps download which when working properly is just (bit only) useable.

too many "eat the lies" without asking why.. its a sad reality. I always go for the settings in my system or check with my ISP if its internet related before i even think to use a 3rd party tool.. the uninstall of bloat in windows was a "hit in the wall" so there is no more windows as a main system for me.. use it as a burner OS only.. The EU directives did open up to uninstall more like edge but i dont trust microsoft, a tiger wont change its stripes..

Once upon a time, tuning RWIN was CRITICAL, Windows used a default that was often inadequate. Now, unless things are very strange, Windows makes a decent job of dynamically tuning it.

Another great video. Never been a fan of these different tweaking programs. Most are garbage and cause issues down the road. The only time you would have to adjust your NIC settings is if you have a custom fiber network connecting all your systems. Other than that do yourself a huge favor and just leave it be.

One thing I believe needs to be mentioned, and I know it must be obvious to most people, but there are always some that think otherwise. If you pay for let's say 100mbs, there aren't any programs, apps, or tools that will get you more speed, these tools are maybe useful if you can't get full speed for some reason, say if you pay for 100mbs, but you're only getting 80mbs, then something like this might help. Also, don't mess with tools like this if you don't know what you're doing.

Good stuff Britec. What can improve my download/upload speed? My system runs on wi-fi only. Speed tests run around 250Mb/s. Though downloading a movie from IA (internet archive it runs between 1.5-3 Mb/s max. Not sure why. Remove all other windows it might run around 3Mb/s. Re-booting modem or even wi-fi helps just a tad. If I got 25-50Mb/s it would save I could load a 1G file from 15 min to under 3 min. What else do I need to check or set on PC for better performance? I have 16G RAM. Windows 10.

The only way to get a steady network connection, is use of teaming LAN, but you need 2 LAN connectors on your motherboard. I use it with my servers and a 2,5Gbits switch, and you can full benefit from your 1Gbit bandwidth fiber internet. Of course, if your switch is saturated with connections, this won't add up. [edit] Back in the days I used to play Mafia Wars, and the American players had benefits, we had lag, so I got killed faster, than we could kill them.

I “tweak” my connection with QoS in my router. If I let my internet go full throttle, my loaded ping is 100-200ms (buffer bloat). Throttling my download limit reduces loaded ping to 18ms. The results are repeatable. I get ~250-300Mbps down wide open. I have to drop that to ~100Mbps, plenty for gaming. If I have to download a large update, I turn off QoS.

my ping stay between 1-10 approx.. and i use the default setting in internet settings. Did get 1 ms ping when i have 22 tabs open and 18 is youtube tabs.. If you get buffer bloat (what that is) you can tweak it but its in many cases the ISP that is the cause. Can also be the hardware aka the router/modem.. Not the first time a ISP have sold a router that isnt suited for the internet to save money.. The only time i get 100-200 ping is when i play on us servers.. its a long way to travel.. But its not any lag or worse gameplay.. I usally have better gameplay than most of the people i play with.

@@lokelaufeyson9931 Hmm, I’m not sure about all that. What is your paying when you’re down loading at maximum capacity? If you’re not doing something to throttle your download limit, it’s gonna be way higher than 1-10.

my 2 minute guess is that its most likely a cache program that cache the static data and only update the dynamic data.. I may be wrong but we have to see.
