Is there any difference in doing this vs downloading the iso and doing in place. My issue of some ,exe files not opening is still there. On my PC the file runs but I get a blue screen pop up "Windows Protect" but then I can bypass and install my CPAP OSCAR software. On my Lenovo Legion 5 Pro it did just will not show the bypass after trying this fix.
I can't download the ISO file with Rufus on windows 7. The download option doesn't show up. "Rufus Version 3.22" Any workaround pls?
Ok,So i downloaded the ISO file before from microsoft directly i think it'll be fine.
As long as I can maintain an up-to-date web browser with Superium and r3dfox, which you failed to mention are up-to-date web browsers for Chrome and Firefox, along with a custom-configured firewall and electron patches for applications such as Visual Studio Code and Discord, then I don't see any point in upgrading to Windows 10 or 11. Linux is looking very promising, with explicit sync now being added to the new 555 drivers, allowing Wayland to run pretty seamlessly with Nvidia cards. I'm going to wait for the kinks to be filtered out before making the switch. Maybe by winter, I will switch over, but for now, I will continue to run Windows 7. It does everything I need to better and more effectively than Windows 10 and 11. I understand there may be a security risk, but with ESU updates and POS-ready updates, it is just as secure as any other modern version of Windows. You can download almost every single ESU update from the Microsoft Update Catalog; it takes time, but it is possible. I am thinking about making a Python script that collects all the ESU updates and puts them into a singular batch file.
in my experience... the trouble shooting tool never helped me. But yeah... windows restart updates takes forever! it feels like it's frozen... but it's not. even with a powerful machine. at least it's better then a blue screen... thanks for the tips! ;)
There is a file in Windows 'System32' folder called 'WindowsUpdateElevatedInstaller.exe' which I change to make it 'WindowsUpdateElevatedInstaller.FMS', but it is a protected file which cannot be modified UNTIL I change its permissions, which is doable but time consuming. The 'owner' with all rights to is is 'Trustedinstaller'. I am going to try this method to see of it makes it any easier. 👉PS. Please spare me the usual lecture 'Oh, you shouldn't modify or delete system files because if you do the whole world will come to an end...blah💩, blah💩, blah💩, blah💩, blah💩, blah💩.....'
if you are a normal user i think you'll have no issues but for me a software developer many tools crashes after installation and after attempting to get latest updates

Tried this version, hoping it would really be one i would not mind using. It started off good, no bloat software, easy to get local account, installs on old systems with no bypass stuff. But, the startmenu. you can't remove the Recommended section, i tried gpedit and regedit tricks. there is also mention of regedit to revert the startmenu to "classic" windows 10 style, but it just gets ignored. And some suggest using ExplorerPatcher, but that won't run. So win11 went out... the window... again.
This why I'll NEVER do medical e-consult. Also: it's bad enough Microsoft force updates on your computer stalling apps I do not want or do not know what they are for and worst of all, Microsoft have taken away the ability to delete those unwanted apps.
If u really care about privacy use linux or windows 7 but thats outdated

I JUST GOT STUCK!! After clicking on the apply button at 5:28 it asked me to restart, and i clicked on it since then my I'm lost in bios, tried all the methods it showing anything. No boot options no external bootable USB or anything. Please help me fix this problem. I am struggling since last 8 hourse!!

Awesome to know I'm safe from Recall for the moment. It's a terrible idea and has many concerning aspects. No Copilot Plus pc for me or anyone I know, unless I personally see them turn that feature off. cheers
This method does not work I tested it just now, it just says you lost connection and stuck in a loop or restore connection Edit: I used bypassnro and disconnect ethernet and it worked

Thanks for this. I recently started messing about with Group Policy to further tweak windows, esp stuff that's hidden from the end user in 11. I have a feeling it'll be important in the next few years to keep the new features MS insists on adding disabled. Lol. Also, it's just kinda fun. I'm a part time sysadmin and enjoy this kinda stuff
