    Except it's Microsoft which means it can't be trusted. I bought a new Dell PC Windows 11 Pro 23H2 in February and it's been a big headache. Blue screens, external hard drive "Schizophrenia", bugs, bloat, and a surprise 24H2 update. I just installed Windows 10 the other day and it's been peace and quiet since. Being on Microsoft today is like being on the Titanic.

    @@bigbigfizzi I checked the Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC site. Look at it and notice the blackmail about the warning of "black screens". Microsoft is not the company of the future; its time has come in my opinion. They ensured tha by saying Windows 10 was the last version then introduced bug-filled Windows 11. Even on something like a handheld PC, the difference in performance will be marginal at best. It turns out both the operating system and modern hardware are actually built specifically to prevent bloat from getting in the way of performance. Now if you're stuck on old hardware, then you'll probably get a massive performance gain, but any modern system won't actually gain any measurable difference in performance.

  • @Savitarax
    @SavitaraxАй бұрын

    Process Explorer LTSC vs Home will show how much literal cpu cycles are taken up by the OS. If LTSC has a massive discrepancy it’s possible a lot of attention to background hogging was heavily optimized in LTSC. Definitely worth looking into.

  • @MrGamelover23

    @MrGamelover23

    Ай бұрын

    It turns out none of this actually makes a difference in performance. Modern hardware and operating systems know how to run processes without the bloat actually getting in the way. It's why on something like the ROG ally, the difference between stock windows and tiny 11 is like 5% at best. That being said, this is the superior version of Windows.

    I doubt Microsoft will ever release a general OS of any Windows debloated version like the OS in this video , they make their income from ads and selling your information for marketing, not from selling the OS itself, this stands true, as they offer free upgrades at no cost to a new release (with possible new hardware requirements if needed) their need to make a profit is real, as Oct. 2025 looms in the future unless people want to pay Microsoft for security updates, they will have to switch to Windows 11, some Linux distro or Mac, or run their present OS, Windows 10 which doubtless be targeted by hack and exploits, with my new PC gaming build, thanks to this channel, went with an install of a de-bloated version of Windows 11, and a local account, while switching my prior PC to Zorin, a Linux distro, while I don't care for their direction Microsoft is taking with Windows 11, after a short adjustment period with both OS's I've have been happy with both Windows 11 and Zorin

    Generally speaking, in the last Windows Enterprise LTSC releases e.g 2019 & 2021, these Edition will only receive "Security Updates" and no feature updates. This is to ensure that said device with said edition installed, is fully operation when being used by businesses/industries. Business/Industries would typically use this kind of edition of Windows to maximize productivity without being bogged-down by the general junk that is present in the consumer editions of Windows we know today.

    Simple reason I can think off for MS not offering this kind of version for normal people is that they use telemetry and the upcoming recall on general consumers and can easily defends itself against the average Joe in a court for breach of privacy. If they were to add all these Co-Pilot and Recall features to enterprise versions and if these features are proven to steal company/corporate secrets, they can get sued by them and MS can't easily defend against other Corporations.

    There are two possible legitimate outcomes when using an evaluation license for Windows OS's. 1st being, you can rearm the license upto 3times or 2nd, you can just reinstall every 90days, a bit inconvenient, however if you are unable to obtain a legit license key then, this is the last resort in resetting the 90days back.

    It's already out, by the way. It was released to OEMs on May 22nd. You cannot use regular enterprise licenses on it. Only a product key, or digital license, for that exact version will work on it. The product keys are not available to anyone outside of OEMs at the moment, and they're extremely expensive. There is a way to activate it for free with digital licensing, but doing that for a business isn't really a good idea.

But I just upgraded to a new computer and it has unfortunately come with Windows 11 pro which I have had to debloat considerably but still not as good as my windows 10 LTSC ver. But concerningly there is this constant push for more bloat from MS all the time which the LTSC version never has. This is really great news for me as now I will now re-install with Win 11 LTSC and be back to a good stable system as before when I was on Win 10. But I do agree Microsoft should give their customers options, for example a windows basic option which is a core system (LTSC) or the Windows full (the Pro version) for those who want all the bloat and gizmo's
