Definitely very tastefully done. The X MR is extremely underrated.

I am really glad you like this one! It is a damn shame that they killed this wonderful car off!

I love what this owner did to the interior! Makes it comepete with the new STI interior very well! Maybe if they continued making them, that would've been a good look for the updated interior!

It’s a shame Mitsubishi killed this car. Just a shame. Love the mods thus owner made. Great review Joe! I love that I can always count on you and your amazing channel every day, you are a Pro - keep it up!

Geeze Louise Joe. Here I am trying to get ready for when I leave on Thursday for Corvettes at Carlisle and I get the notification of your latest video. You know old dogs don't like their routines changed and your success in this regard has caused me to have two therapy sessions a week instead of one. lol My Therapist doesn't even know you and he loves you! This is the mother of all replays! You lucky dog you get to go to Corvettes oat Carlisle! I have wanted to go to that ever since I bought my Corvette when I was 17yrs old. (PS Bought it all by myself). Maybe your therapist should at least buy a Raiti's Rides shirt! ;-)

Excellent video Joe and a very nice car! The only thing I would change if this was my car is to give it a manual transmission. With that being said I completely understand the benefits of having an automatic transmission especially if you live in a congested area or where the streets are on steep hills.

I am in the same boat as you but the dual clutch transmission in the MR has some very quick shifts. Thank you for the compliment!

The strut tower brace is amazing

i own an Evo x , 2012. 420 whp modded. she is a beast. i just can't get myself to sell it. damn thing is so fast and quick. traction is amazing as well.

makes sense, Nissan bailed out Mitsu and didn't want any car being called "the poor mans GTR" connected at all with Nissan. The MR truly is a poor mans GTR.

Wow, took a 2015 lancer evo and made it look so modern. Most people love the performance of the evo, but swayed over to the sti because the sti’s interior is much more day to day driver friendly

Great car and I still say it's faster then what the specs say it is. The only hit this car takes is the original interior, bells and whistles. It didn't come with the niceties that it should of. It was plain inside. IMO Kinda like the Focus RS LOL. Still a killer car today, and I think the Focus RS will live on in the tuner world like the EVO

Front end is gorgeous, for me it’s about as perfect as you can get 👍. The wheels on this car are great, if I replace the wheels on my black STI these are exactly the type I would get. I can’t get past those rear taillights though, hate those 😒. Also don’t like the interior. Overall this is a great car.

Well I am glad that you enjoyed this car! If I was going the EVO X route it would have to be a GSR!

The fake “final edition” is keeping this car from being a classy build. Just say no to fake badges and be proud of what your car really is.

Supaswol I don’t think it’s the same reasoning at all. It’s not like he took a base Lancer and put Evolution badges on it. Hell, the Final Edition is absolutely nothing special(unless a badge makes something special), this car is more worthy of the badge IMHO.

it's a nice looking car, but it boils down to being a fake final edition since it's not one of the 1600. Don't get me wrong, he did a great job on the upgrades and it looks beautiful, but calling it a FE when it's not is a little... weird Edit: I just noticed he even put a numbered FE badge in there. Yikes... I hate to say it, but I'm sorta losing respect for the owner of this car.

I can totally understand where you are coming from! I am not one for putting fake badges on a car. I guess he just wanted an MR very badly and as you are aware none of the FEs where MRs.

That's not to take away from the work he's put in to this car, though. It really is beautiful and I love what he's done in the engine bay. And those recaro's… that is not stock leather. I think he took a pair of cloth recaro's and had them reupholstered, if I had to guess. And they did a spectacular job. I'm contemplating doing something like that to my '15 GSR.

Seeing as how they didn’t make a Final Edition with the SST, I can understand where this guy got his inspiration to “make his own.” If it were just an upgraded 15’ GSR with Final Edition badges then yeah, that’d be silly.
