Does the GoPro Hero 10 Firmware 1.16 Fix the Glitch?

I take the Hero 10 out with the new firmware to see if the Glitch I discovered in my earlier video is fixed.
I also check out one of the campgrounds on Palomar mountain now that the leaves are turning color. It's a great time of year for camping for sure.

Thanks for posting this test. I recently purchased a Gopro 10 for my motorcycle, too. I'm taking it on a ride for the first time this weekend. Now I'm curious if I get similar results. My 9 has been really good so far. Ride safe!

For sure - I think you'll like it. It's really just this one, specific setting that gives any issue and only on pretty tight turns. To me it's really a non-issue since there's so many other modes you can use.

Well ... the reason for that the camera snaps out of the horizon lock is that it only supports HL up to 45 degrees, that isn't a glitch at least.

Yeah - understood, but as I stated in the video (and I don't know 100% I admit) but I'm not going very fast and I'd be very surprised if I was actually leaning at a 45 degree angle. This is a big top-heavy scrambler, not a crotch rocket. But again, I'm not 100%

Thanks - yes, I definitely have to try that. I have it on my Hero 9. My only hesitation is the 2.7K resolution limit while using that. What I've done recently is just stick to 4K. It has no issues at all at that resolution.

So the 10 doesn’t “Lock” or “Stay” level like the 9 ? No matter what I do with my 9, if I have it on Horizon Lock, I can turn my cam side ways, upside down, or roll it, and it stays level the whole time, no matter how I hold the camera, thats what I’m asking, Does the 10 have that feature?

Yes, the 10 does great in pretty much every setting other than 5.3K Hypersmooth Standard - that is the only setting where I see this issue. So, honestly it's not a big problem; I just use any other setting like 5.3K Boost or 4K any setting. It's only this 5.3K Hypersmooth standard that I see the issue.

@@twowheelsandathrottle ok cool, I recently purchased the 10 and I played with it a little, and yes Ive seen the jumping and tilting pertaining to this issue in your video, thats why I asked, and I was using “4k 30” with boost activated and it still gave way and turned and jumped, but, (and I hope this is relevant), I haven’t upgraded the firmware yet, so hopefully after I upgrade, it will be fixed.

@@chrism.4600 Oh wow - you're seeing a similar issue at 4K 30? I'll have to try that setting and see if I get the same thing. Do you get it at 4K 60?

I think it is better with the new firmware and the added modes are definitely really nice (battery saver, etc.)
