Does my Eaton m90 supercharger need a bearing rebuild?

Trying to work out if I can get away without rebuilding the needle bearings :-/

Needle bearings for sure. They are a pain in the ass to remove though. Good luck

Well i would say put new sc oil and change the rear needle bearings but you will need a hydrolic press to get them out and put new one in. They are grease packed, thus smaller and not lubed with sc fluid like the front ones and fail more often

In my opinion, you need new bearings. That is far to much play IMO.

lucian kristov thank you a timely response! I replaced the needle bearings yesterday which has resolved 90% of the issue. There is still a slight metallic scraping sound at the opposite end of the rotors as they rub (which they shouldn’t) but overall it’s a million times better :)
