There is a 12 year age gap with my husband and I. I was 18 when we got together and it was not a big deal at the time. My Dad was a bit shocked though! Others said “it will all end in tears” yet we have been through highs and lows of life together and still in love. We have celebrated out 30th wedding anniversary last year. Together since 1984. Sadly he’s currently seriously ill and I am going to pieces, the one love of my life. Enjoy each other and embrace each day as you both do. I don’t think your age difference matters one bit as long as you love each other xx ❤️

I was married at 18 and the love of my life, my late husband was 12 years older than me, also married in 1984, I was suddenly and unexpectedly widowed in 2008, totally shattered. Hope things are going okay for you and your husband.

Age doesn't matter. Connection counts. I remember telling my mum I had met the bloke i was going to marry. I week after meeting. Previously I had said I was never going to marry. 6 weeks later.. married. I have not had a partner since. He is no longer here. He was the love of my life. We have 16 years between us. It just feels right because it is right! We've been together for 17 years now and it is as amazing now as it was when we met. We have an additional "difference" in that she is Indian and grew up there while I am completely English. My mother-in-law was 7 years older than my father-in-law. Their three children were born when she was aged 32, 42 and 44. They were very happily married for 62 years, living into their 90s. Apart from the years apart throughout WW2, they worked together every day running pubs and hotels.

It's interesting how that works. My brother is only 3 years younger than his wife (they've been married now about 40 years). But he has always looked young, and they used to get people mistaking them as mother and son. So he decided to grow a beard, and that fixed the problem.

Before I saw this video I never even contemplated your insignificant age gap, what did cross my mind was, how perfectly you complement one another. If ever two people where destined to be together it has to be Richard and Julia.

Age may matter, but it doesn't need to. My late wife (a lovely German-American lady) was 11 years my senior. We had a great 35 years together. My lovely British Bride is 9 years my junior -- she told me that she prefers older men. Her late husband was 15 years her senior.

You have to grab love when it comes along no matter how long or short it lasts life is too short to let it pass by. Some people never experience true love which is so sad, who cares what anyone thinks your love and happiness is your own and nobody else’s. You both seem so happy together which is all that matters. My Wife is almost 10 years younger than me, been married for 18 years now, the age difference used to play on my mind a bit early on, I don't even think about it now, we are best friends/soul mates and love each other to bits.

Hi Richard Just, come across this channel, always watch your other channel. On the matter of age difference, I don't think it matters as long as you love and respect each other. Our age difference is only six years. I am 71 years old now and my wife is 65 this year. I think you have to have challenges and work your way through different stages in life. For example, we are house hunting in Portugal at this time , with a view to live here all the time. We look at this as a challenge. I have just subscribed to this channel. Great video

We met quite by chance in Bolton near Manchester and we are both awake. She comes from Republic of Georgia and I am English. We have a house in Georgia and the UK and have a 9 yrs old boy and 15 yr old daughter. We embrace both our cultures and in Georgia try to be more self sustainable.

When my dad passed away my mum didn't know what to do with his ashes. One day she decided to scatter them under the front window amongst the roses. she stated he would like it there because of the view. (It over looked a golf course, first tee). Unfortunately many years later she had to move out and into a nursing home oh and they built houses on the golf course obliterating the view! Oh the irony. I wonder if dad ever wanders around the house "spooking" its new occupants!

You sort of touched on it but it's the same when dating people of other cultures. Non American women often don't get a lot of my jokes and references. So I say something and then there's just an ackward silence and then realize who I'm talking to. If their kids are born here they usually get my jokes.

After my divorce, having had two daughters (now estranged from me) I had various "flings" - 2 of which were with far younger women (I was mid 40s, they mid 20s) however, while we never let age bother us on a day to day basis, I closed the chapter on both of them because of two reasons - I was concerned about what the 20 year difference would feel like at 60 and 40 and I also knew that both would really want children and I had had the snip (after years of cajoling by my ex - almost as if she wished to make sure I had no further children when she decided to leave). Also, I always felt a sadness if I was with a woman who had kids and I was playing 'father' to children that weren't mine and it made me miss mine even more and I never wished to dilute' my feelings for my own children by either having more with someone else (something, it seems, many people don't have an issue with) or playing "Stepdad" to another man's. So, after a while, I decided to just remain single. Now that I have for nearly 2 decades, I don't think I could ever be the selfless person you need to be to be in a relationship plus I do precisely as I wish when I wish now. Sharing all the personal habits again would be a 'thing' as well. As a 59 year old bachelor, the idea of having to change (and improve) things from how I now live, seems too much of a hassle. That said, while being alone is great in many ways, there is still, occasionally, the thought that, having a significant other' would be rather nice from time to time. Ok, now the 'book' comment is complete, I'll just finish by complimenting Julia who has a very fine bone structure and features and say you're a lucky man.

When a Woman Holds your Hand even when changing gear & driving & Hand feeds you food She Loves You. & the way she curls her arms & legs around you in Bed to fall Asleep. Eye Contact & Body Contact AT ALL Times. We Made Love just with our Eyes constantly. Just one Glance & we Giggled with Love. & Butterflies in our belly's. STOP IT, You are TORCHERING ME with your Eyes. is what we both said Dozens of times a day.

My late husband was 29 years older than me and he wasnt loaded either but I thought he was a genius and wanted his babies!!! We were together 14 years almost 24 hours a day and were very happy..it was funny because my childrens father was older than their grand dad!!! My dad was not amused!

18 years difference eh?... Amateurs!!! I'm 21 years older than my wife. We met initially through her job in health-care so she knew my age due to my records. When we started our relationship she refused to tell me her age for months in case I dumped her (yea , right). I have to admit it did concern me for a while once I knew. The best advice I had was from another friend. She said "Can't you just be happy?" We've been married for 10 years now. I was mid 50s, she in mid 30s. We are happy and the age thing is of no consequence and is forgotten. As far as I know there haven't been any snarky remarks from others - maybe we have been lucky. Just thought I'd like to share.

Oh and I forgot to tell you that you now have me and 3 of my friends as fans😅. I've been sharing you as often as possible. You are loved here in NB 🇨🇦

The age doesn't matter, its your attitude that that counts, my wife and I are 14 years apart no problem at all. My good lady thinks that I'm a little eccentric, untrue, I just have a deep awareness. My stepdaughter thinks her mother married me because of my yacht, also untrue, yes I do have a yacht, I keep it in the bathroom!. Definitely not the reason she married me, I believe.
