Documenting my Neighbourhood w/ the Mamiya RZ67

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I've been living in West End in Brisbane for the past year and have really grown to admire all of its unique character.
I'm planning to continue to document the area over the following year and to put together a zine of my photographs!

great video! love the pictures that you made! I've been wandering around my neighborhood during the pandemic, a great way to see some spots you otherwise overlooked in your town! great work, keep up!

Appreciate the kind words! It's so true, you end up uncovering some hidden gems. Also, I always used to photograph a lot more when I was away on a trip, with the process feeling kinda rushed. With your own neighbourhood I really enjoy how you can spend more time capturing spots!

Sounds like a great idea for a zine man and thanks for the shout out. Once you get started with an project idea like this it often evolves overtime so I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes. Although now you’ve made me worried I’ve been saying zine wrong this whole time! 🙈😂

Very true! Even writing this script for the video I found myself down a few rabbit holes. hahaha I just had a quick google and I think it's me saying it wrong. Maybe I'll put it down to being the australian pronunciation 😂

These shots are killer!! I love wandering around neighborhoods and finding suburban scenes to photograph! One of my favorite subjects to shoot!

you've been there ages. Surprised your accent has budged a bit haha. I miss Oz. Used to go there a lot . In another 9 years, these photos will be really important.

hahah all those trips back home keeping it fairly strong. Nice man! Where did you normally visit? I agree dude, I had this idea of creating a zine of my coastal images but this felt a lot more sentimental to document.

Yo Chris, great video. Editing, music and delivery really on point ! May I ask why you don’t use a strap with mamiya ?

Appreciate the kind words + support! I find it a bit awkward to hold with the strap and not as easy to move around with as it's not too long I guess
