Doctor's Order by Charlotte York (Sex And The City)
Комедия
Momento hilário, quando Carrie, Samantha, Miranda e Charlotte vão para um concurso de Bombeiros Staten Island. Charlotte fica completamente bêbada e começa a dançar Dorctor's Order de Carol Douglas.

Yes..! This on the rooftop when they're having a BBQ with the drag queens annnnd the hilarious scene, when they've all gone to watch the sex-pert (older) couple give tantrum sex lessons, Charlotte taking notes....the other 3 in stitches. I've never laughed so hard in my life. The original SATC, Frasier, and Schitt's Creek best shows ever. Cheers 🍸🍹🍸 Sophie 😊 from Adelaide, Australia 🇦🇺 5 April 2024.
Charlotte is my fave. One of the things I didn't like about the show is how Carrie's story is the main focus. All four of them are equally important and essential to this show. And their stories are deep. Charlotte's story holds a special place in my heart.
This scene always gives me a laugh love charlotte ❤

I hope everyone understands they are mocking Staten Island in this episode, undoubtedly because SI is the only one of the five boroughs in NYC that still votes Republican, so they view SI as backwards and antiquated. The fact that they still listen to Disco, like Doctors Orders, is simply a metaphor for just how antiquated it is, like they are still stuck in the 70's. BTW I'm not making any of this up or simply surmising it. I'm NYC born and raised, was born and raised in Manhattan and moved to SI in my teens, but continued to visit my old friends by staying in Manhattan with my grandparents every weekend. NOTHING annoys me more than fake elite a-holes, who thought they were elites by virtue of moving to Manhattan from somewhere in middle-America, and landing some "WHO GIVES A F JOB LIKE PARALEGAL OR WRITER FOR SOME MAGAZINE NOBODY READS", and I mean they thought they were MORE NY than the people who were born and raised there and forgot more about NY than they still hadn't learned. That's why they are what we used to call "professional victims", because it was only a matter of time that they did something stupid like go to the wrong place at the wrong time and got mugged or worse. Lastly they have a condescending nickname they used for NY'ers from the other four boroughs, not Manhattan. They sarcastically call it "the bridge and tunnel crowd", and if you watch this episode closely, you'll see that's the real subtext. Charlotte is only having fun because she's drunk enough to drop the snobbish attitude and have fun dancing to a disco classic. BTW notice how SJP viewed a thumbs-up as ridiculous.

the friendliest people in NY were Koreans, African Americans, latinos, bodega staff ,soldiers from the deep south.the others were all in black and snobby pushing you out of the way types cos they were so important
