    I’m a 41 year old woman who has very slowly been losing her hair since the age of 19. I denied it for almost 20 years until people started commenting on my very noticeable thinning hair. Last year I began using Minoxidil and it has been a game changer for me. It took about 5/6 weeks before I noticed no hair on my pillow in the mornings and barely any hair loss while showering. A word of warning though, if you stop using it your hair loss will begin again. I am going to give Rosemary oil a chance as I’ve never heard it can be used to treat hair loss.

    Yes, Dr. Karan’s video is accurate as usual. Derma roller and rosemary oil. I use the derma roller once per month. I am seeing results I thought I’d never see. New hair growth coming into areas where it was thinning the most at. I just derma roll my entire head from front to back in strokes. Edit: It’s easier if you help your bf with this because you don’t want to continuously go over the same area of the head you just applied the derma roller at. Also make sure to sanitize the roller with each use. As I said, this works. Just takes a bit to see good results.

    Bruh, after 100500 health issues that come one after after + a very UNEXPECTED stress factor that might be chronic, so the "story" is about I started loosing hair. Some oil mask helped with structure of hair and skinn, yes you can cringe now but only after I start used omega 3 capsules(for peroral use, I destroyed this gelatine(?) thing so the oil come out). And + red pepper + a LIGHT massage and after this some collagen masks but just only on hair, 1-1,5 sm distance from skinn. During day head massage, this mask stuff 2-3 times a week. And + vitamins, more health food, I mean not only vegetable, also protein(from natural products as meat, beens, milk products, nut and else), and gelatin. And after few MONTHS my hair began to grow in places where it was bald. It's a looooooong f-king process, and the most sadly thing is, that this is very individual and that wat helps someone not means it works in your case... 😢

    what? i was under the impression that minoxidil, if you’re receptive to it, works to optimize hair growth beyond the application area even. like if you exclusively apply it onto your scalp routinely, it’ll still get circulated within the local system so that not just the hair on your head but even your eyebrows and eyelashes will see benefit from minoxidil?

  • @justalonelypoteto
    @justalonelypoteto Жыл бұрын

    as far as I know, it's not recommended to go with minoxidil directly, even though many doctors think otherwise. My understanding of its function is essentially the blood vessel widening, so x more hair than was there before. Bad part is that x hair goes away when you stop using this (probably not so cheap) product. DHT blockers would, afaik, prevent the DHT-induced death of hair follicles, essentially delaying and slowing down, instead of just temporarily adding some extra which will not be perfect if/when your actual hair loss catches up with minoxidil's added amount. This is just my guess tho, also apparently minoxidil + dermarolling can increase the absorption, but can also cause severe heart palpitations (anecdotal)

    I’m really starting to learn that there’s very little research on hair, hair growth and hair stimulating products for cosmetic reasons. It’s probably because hair is so SO SO diverse. Even more so than skin imo. Different hair textures require completely different rules and methods! Do studies must be difficult to generalise to a larger population. Still, i’d love to see this change!

    Only way to permanently prevent and reverse hair loss is to get rid of what's causing it, namely, genetics and testosterone. Can't change the genes yet, but if you're transgender, you can regrow your hair in a year or two just purely on the testosterone blockers you're already taking, it's worked for me.

    exactly - there could be genetics at play, hormonal issues, physiological etc. there is no 'one size fits all' treatment for hair loss, and why things like Rogaine do not work for everyone. Some need to accept that hairloss is both natural and has even been celebrated as a sign of male virility. It's only really been since society became superficial towards appearances that we have have had to contend with these things popping up.

    whoever has just started experiencing baldness, few points that can help you slow it down (personal experience of 9 years , i started loosing hair in 2014 and following below steps) 1. shave your head(not trim) atleast twice a year starting today 2. buy derma roller, use it every day or alternate day and oil your scalp ( starts flow of blood in scalp which is main cause of hairfall) 3. minimize use of shampoo to once or twice a month . 4. make your life style healthy, some sunlight everyday , exercise and eat lots of fruits and raw veggies like carrot and salad

    I think baldness is a genetic adaptation. People who were descendants of people who wear hats or head protection from sun or work indoor may get a gene that eliminates hair. Our primate ancestors had thick fur on their bodies but over time as humans evolved we started crafting clothing to protect our skin. Evolution removed fur because it wasn’t necessary. Head hair remained as people mostly didn’t protect their head from the sun. As more and people wear hats and work indoors rather than outside. Evolution may decide that head hair is no longer necessary.

  • @C4rnee

    @C4rnee

    Жыл бұрын

    Extremely unlikely. If anything, evolution would make our hair more dense and beautiful over time, since hair is very important for finding mates. Hair is very valued and those with nice hair are more likely to pass on their genes.

In december that year i upped it to 1.25mg 6 times a week. No ED still but my hair also seems very slightly worse, but who knows, maybe im in a shedding phase, maybe its just not working for me but my peepee is still fine. I have been using hair fibers for almost a year now and they are a lifesaver. Before the hair fibers i was constantly insecure and stressed about my hair, now i just apply them every day and im very confident and nobody has noticed them even though i have a buzz cut (0 on side and 4 on top). Most people told me my hair looks much better now than the longer hair i had before 2022.
