I don't think I believe that. You must have had something. It causes everyone to become more thirsty and have a dry mouth. It causes headaches too. I've only taken it few times and experienced both

Hello Scott May I please ask you how long have you been on it and what dosage? Does it affect you sexually? Did it cause a more depressed state at the beginning of treatment? I thank you immensely for whatever experience you can share. I'm on my 6th day and I'm so confused if I should continue or not Thank you

@@AlbertVPop I’m on 20mgs. the only negative side effect I have almost 4 weeks into it is some slightly weird vision issues (my eyes are already pretty bad though). No sexual side effects thus far. The first week, I had some stomach issues, but they ironed out. It takes about 4-6 week to really notice it helping depression, apparently. I noticed my anxiety went away immediately, as did my OCD, ADD, binge-eating tendencies. I also don’t feel like I’m in constant “fight or flight”, so I feel like my body is not pumped with cortisol all the time, so I feel less bloated too. I don’t feel depressed either. Hope this information helps. Best of luck to you on your journey towards healing and feeling better.

Helped with my anxiety, not one panic attack, and no side effects. Haven't been on it for years.

I suffer from C Dash PTSD and mild depression I went to two different places via referral as the first one just seemed disregarding the one gave me 10 mg and one 20mg to start… i’m in possession of both and I do believe tomorrow will be the start date as I’ve been holding on for about a week as I continue to investigate what I will be consuming for hopefully the better good. I have taken many anti depressants over the years, but always quit once they made me gain weight. However, a year ago, I was recommended fluoxetine, and it was the best. I took it for 6 +/- months and it helped me a lot. I had orgasm issues, but after I stopped taking it, thank god it returned to normal. 😅 But I believe you have to decide for yourself what is more important, and since it helped me overcome depression, I decided to take it until the end.

3:47 If sexual dysfunction is something you're concerened about? Is that really a question? Of course we're concerened.

Lexapro is the best SSRI I switched back from Prozac 20mg luckily it has a long half life so I won’t experience strong withdrawal symptoms. Prozac 20 mg took my appetite away and couldn’t sleep too energizing for me which made me more anxious.

Probably not included in the DSM-IV, but from personal experience higher doses can have efficacy with controlling spectrum disorders in some people.

I'm on 10mg day 5 and i feel pretty tired during the day and at night i'm having trouble sleeping. I also still feel kinda anxious but i'm hoping it will get better

I went upto 40mg and I still feel anxious, but my depression has gone. I feel super hyperactive I have cleaned my whole home several times, started decorating, things I haven't done for yrs due to self neglect and depression. So for me it works for the depression.

Can I use it if I have Glaucoma ❤

I was on 20mg for 10 years…I experienced discontinuation syndrome even though I slowly weaned off. Brain zaps, crying spells, sleepiness, nausea. I think for some people it can have to do with the length of time they’ve been on it.

Just started 10mg to avoid side effects for anxiety. It was $14 in the US. Having some dizziness and mild drowsiness or brain fog as I’m adjusting. Hopefully that goes away along with my panic attacks. Seems to be helping just a little already, but it’s too early to know for sure.

Can it be taken with an anxiety drug (benzo) ? Ive taken fluoxetine for 2 days and it did take the edge off my anxiety but not enough to feel relaxed in crowded places or go to events. Im wondering if my doctor will prescribe a benzo..

Is there an interaction with fluoxetine and adderall ?

I went off on it cold turkey it didn't bother me

I was 60mg for about four months and I got off of it and went to Wellbutrin because fluoxetine made me so tired. I was sleeping all day and extremely drowsy. Also made my ideation worse but we’ll see how Wellbutrin works for me!

I'm on 2 weeks of 20 mg, I feel more tolerable to pressure, bully, not easily triggered by bad news and what people said about me. side effect so far like sleepiness sometimes, sudden anxiety and panic, upset stomach, feeling tired, no sexual side effect so far (I'm still horny af). hope I will gets better over time and finally became the best version of myself.

I'm curious about the outcome for you? 40mg Fluoxetine energized/activated me all day and gave me my life back, I also sleep like a baby (I previously had insomnia occasionally)

It has a long half life so I would say from experience that it is not bad at all coming off, but YMMV

It's says it will result in a false positive for amphetamines or LSD.

"Mini drug withdrawal" - try "Major drug withdrawal" on par with hard drugs

Yep. Have you seen the antidepressant tapering injuries? Full-on neurological injury. Chronic/tardive akathisia, horrific nerve pain, terrible stuff. Find Dr. Josef Witt-Doerring Psychiatry or Nicole Lamberson PA. I had no idea this harm existed until I was so bad that it could be nothing else. Iatrogenic injury is not even in a doctor differential. Dr. Stuart Shipko is another major deprescriber working in that space. He’s nearly retired though. Read some of his posts in Mad In America about what he’s seen. Nicole hosts discussions for the film Medicating Normal. Unreal.

all of these drugs are bad over the long term, and it is not helpful to downplay the suicidal ideation of being on those drugs with the suicidal ideation that comes along with depression. What is worse is that Prozac also causes aggresion and violent behaviors that mant studies have cosnistently demonstrated.

Psilocybin has the most evidence when taken at a high dose with psychotherapy. Because the dose of psilocybin you get from dried mushrooms is different every time and since there are not many studies with micro-dosing mushrooms i would not be able to recommend this :(
