Hello @Jerry Thomas ... I love the idea of going back and forth, but for us, we wouldn't be able to afford that lifestyle. Ideally, I would love to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays in the U.S. with my family, enjoy a few weeks of cool weather. Maybe my youtube revenue will grow enough to be able to do that someday. Haha! 😂

Thanks for making sense and being honest. The Philippines is one country I haven't been to and have no desire to go. Despite what anyone says. Because I know myself better than anyone else. Have to maintain a comfort zone, no matter where I go. Good day

Hello @William Knopic ... sounds like wisdom to me... the Philippines is not necessarily for everyone, and its good to know yourself well enough to avoid making a mistake. Peace and Blessings to you and yours! 🙂

After hearing all these same issues by other expats I have been thinking ahead of time of ways to prevent or minimizing these things from being quite so impactful when I get there. Such as a certain visa that doesn't has to be renewed monthly or every 2 month's & a Backup generator so the brown outs wouldn't cause a total house shutdown. Planning ahead is something another Vlogger named Steven pushes on his channel in order to reduce your stress & increase your odds of staying there.

Hello @J Lynn Burton ... all of the planning ahead and preparation we do, does not necessarily mean you you won't have a bad day. 😂 And even though we are prepared, and even accustomed to things... there are STILL gonna be those BLINDSIDES that get'cha! 🤣and yeah, I have the 13A permanent resident VISA. You can check out my 13A VISA tutorials here... kzread.info/head/PL84mY2P3EvS_I4PvLoDmi6YPVvNIalEsq ... and yes, I have a generator, you can check out my generator video here kzread.info/dash/bejne/iZdquLqOcs3Jnrg.html ... moral of the story, its ok to have a bad day, but shake it off and move forward, 😄 Thanks for your commentary... God bless!

You would think being a Texan you would be used to heat, I'm a north easterner (Born in Maine, lived in Connecticut), in the military I lived in Alaska for 3 years and North Dakota for 4 where it gets to -60F, anything above 70F is hot to me. I think a lot of the problems with agencies there is they haven't kept up with technology, you have to go to this office to get a form, then you have to take it to another agency to get it signed, then another agency to get the signature verified, then another to certify the form, then take it back to the original office. If it was all computerized each agency could pull up a copy of it immediately, or at least be efficient and put all the agencies that have a part in that process in one location. Maybe it's done that way on purpose, to give more people jobs, why have 1 person on a computer when you can give jobs to 5 or 10 each doing 1 small part of the process, which means less chance for corruption in the system if each only knows a small part of the process, and if that's all the do, they will be an expert at it. It's really difficult for things to lose their luster for me, being EXTREMELY OCD, once I settle into a routine and following it is my happy place. It's like Ground Hog day for me, I'm completely content doing the exact same thing day in and day out. As always great video, hope you and your family have a great day Boss.

Hi Eric Taylor, yep, I'm used to the heat and humidity, (it's actually hotter in Texas than here in the Philippines) but Texas has fall/winter/spring cooler seasons, AND Texas also has air conditioning! 😂🤣😆 You being from the north, you might actually have a harder time dealing with the heat and humidity here in the Philippines. Although, I have heard some guys talk about enjoying the escape from the cold. And yeah, technology here is improving, I have seen advancement even in the 5 years I have been here. With your OCD, you should be able to do very well here in the Philippines. Thanks as always for your great commentaries! and a great day to you and yours my friend! 🙂

Even with all of the issues we had we still enjoyed our stay overall and if thigs would have opened sooner we'd probably still be there. We just picked a very poor time to try and move there. In a year and a half we never were able to make significant progress in getting established permanently. In the end we decided to call this experience a groundwork trip and go back to Phoenix. Fortunately we didn't sell the house and Cindy was able to quickly get a great job here. With my income and hers we're making a great life for ourselves and saving for a move in the future again but will have a lot of the groundwork already done because of this trip and have a much more realistic understanding of the situation we will be putting ourselves into again. And we came home with a pretty awesome souvenir, our first daughter!!!

We all have those moments in life, that seem to have little sense of things. But just look at things in the rest of the world, and the life you have is fixable, and you can deal with it. I agree with the whole concept of this video, and thank you for sharing Gale
