    Hey Everybody! I've seen some comments worried that I might be leaving KZread. I want to assure you: I am NOT going anywhere! This video was just an update to why I haven't been posting frequently, not to say goodbye. While I am eager to continue sharing our family's adventures in the Philippines, my current commitments mean it might be a while before I can post regularly. But rest assured, I plan to get back to making videos as soon as I can. Your understanding and support mean everything to us, and I'm looking forward to sharing more of our journey with you when the time is right. Stay connected, and thank you for being such an incredible community! 🙏💕

    KZread and all the other avenues of communication are not Faith Based friendly so the Struggle are Real. it's almost a LOT experience...why would a guy who has such Deep Faith living in such a Bad City like Sodom ...and the same can be said about someone wanting to have a channel on KZread with all its Negativity...

    Glad to hear you are doing well. I just subscribed to your channel a few days ago after watching your video about Sipalay. My wife and I are planning a trip there soon. We are just north of Bacolod in Victorias City. Im also a fellow Tennessean, born and raised in East Tenn.

    Hi there @leea8451! Really glad you enjoyed the Sipalay video. It's a beautiful spot - you and your wife will have a great time there. Victorias City is a nice area too. And hey, a fellow Tennessean! I'm actually more a Texan, but I guess 26 years in Nashville makes me a hybrid Texan and Tennessean! Haha! Always cool to connect with someone from back home. Hope you find more content on my channel that resonates with you. Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures in the Philippines. Thanks for subscribing and eace and blessings to you and your wife!

    I love your being upfront, and see that your Beautiful Wife is your rock, as well as you are hers. To hear that life is busy, is just life and no matter where you live, it just gets busier. My trek to the Philippines has been delayed until 2025, but it will happen. Elvira and I have decided that we will live in Dumaguete, but visit Guihulngan City at least every 6 weeks or so. And I also want to be able to meet you and your family, and she does as well. We are both much older that you both, as she is now 61, and I am 69, and she will take care of her Mother as well and I am good with that. She has family in both Cities so that will work for us when we travel. I still remember the phone call we made a couple of years ago, and it inspired me to know that you are such a good guy to meet.😊

    Hey Gail (sp). I've been wondering where you have been. I thought about you the other day and finally looked you up and realized that your last post was Jan27th and 10 months before that. I figured the reason why, was because of what you said in the video of being busy. I'm now here in Bacolod City since July2023. I communicated and appreciated your video on the step down inverters. I'm 56 and retired early. Living in Bacolod City with my Filipino wife and 10 year old daughter. It has been positive and negative (like you said) I wanted to do my own Philippine KZread channel but it is so hard to make time to film. Life is a little more hectic here if you wanted to try to do the filming, etc. (But I am enjoying my retirement) Also on the faith based. We came down to PH to help and some type of missions. It has been hard and also finding a Church that is English speaking (Although we did finally find a good Church). I have been thinking about getting my channel going but I am not worried about monetization. (This is just my subscription channel. I have several other youtube channels to upload videos to that way I can keep everything separate.)

We go over to Bacolod City every couple of months or so when we need to. It would be great to connect with you direct. If you'll send me a private message on our facebook page, we can get connected on messenger. Just click here facebook.com/theg5family and shoot me a message. I look forward to hearing from you.

    I want to suggest something to you....I manage a Orphanage in Mexico and I Sit on the Board of Directors for the Company that Runs it. I teach English to kids and families who have walked up to 3000 miles to get into the US. Im Italian and was not born in the US but I served 30 years in the US Air Force as a Helicopter pilot so its important for me to help kids get into the US legally and have a foundation in the US. I started to teach a cooking Class at the orphanage because the kids were asking me what i was making in the Kitchen when I cooked for Staff or Special Guests. So I created this cooking class based on the " Fruits of the Spirit" ...and I would have a Bible study as well Cooked. It was never intended for me to do this but one day I was making Oatmeal and I started to talk about Patience and how it relates to life...I noticed how you interacted with your girls as you cooked so I bring this up about the cooking class. Once a year the kids cook a big meal and for them its a way to give back people who have cared for them and it means alot to them

    Hello again @Hoochie243, thank you for your 30 years of service! That sounds like an amazing initiative you've got going on at the orphanage. Teaching kids cooking and integrating life lessons through the 'Fruits of the Spirit' is VERY COOL. Love how you're making a positive impact. Thanks for sharing this with us, and for the work you do. I'm always thinking about incorporating meaningful lessons into everyday activities. Godspeed to you and your great work! Peace and Blessings! 🙂🙏🏻

    This is a great video ..let me explain why .. sometimes Filipina are looked at as the Perfect Wife .and that maybe true in some ways but they are Human...they are capable of putting up with alot and at the same time its not fair to create such a High Expectations on them ..I lived in the Philippines in 1980s ...I dated filipina in the US and in the Philippines...and there is a difference between the two but they are Women...which are the greatest Mysteries in life...Im not here to make a checklist of negative things about a filipina I just want people to understand that they are not Perfect and should not be built up to be perfect

  • @G5Philippines

    Hello @Hoochie243 ... thanks for bringing up a very thoughtful point. You're right, it’s important to see each person as an individual with their own strengths and challenges, regardless of where they are from. Keeping expectations realistic helps in understanding and appreciating them better. However, that being said, 'perfect' is subjective. I can say with absolute certainty, that my Filipina wife is perfect. Her inherent imperfections, are actually components of her perfection. As for Filipina's being idealized as the perfect wife is just based on a wide-spread knowledge of their general approach to life, love, marriage and family. Loyalty, devotion and on and on. I totally get what you're saying, I just wanted to respond with my sentiment. 😄I appreciate your insights, and thanks for watching and supporting my channel! 🙏🏻🙂

    I’m interested in possibly moving to that area but I’m looking for an area that’s affordable and has infrastructure like you said you have fiber optic cable now I would be interested in knowing what areas have that.

    Hi again @purplemoose6431, Our area does have decent infrastructure, including fiber optic internet. It's becoming more common in populated areas across the Philippines. Each area has its unique features, so it really depends on what you're looking for in terms of affordability and amenities. I'm certain you'll find the perfect place that meets your needs and wants. 😊👍

    Are you getting any vibes from the local people about the tensions surrounding China/Taiwan/Philippines/US? My 🇵🇭wife and I are making an advance round trip soon with an eye toward living there in retirement. I'm concerned about possible shifts in opinions about Americans and our 'image' with the Filipino people. I'd hate to get settled there only to have public and/or official tolerance for Americans in decline.

  • @G5Philippines

    @G5Philippines

    Hi @jaimearellano8305, it's a valid concern you've raised. But from what I'm seeing, locals here seem to have a general acceptance of the geopolitical tensions in the region and doesn't seem to affect their views of Americans. I am keeping an eye on things myself, and with the treaties the U.S. has with countries in southeast Asia, the U.S. has stepped up their activities, sorta making our presence known. But to answer your question, I don't see that as ever really being an issue. I wish you guys well in your travels over here. Let me know how it goes. Peace and Blessings!
