What’s the Healthcare like around San Carlos city?

Hello @purplemoose6431! Healthcare in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, is generally good for routine medical services. The city has two hospitals, one being a city hospital and the other a private hospital, which provide a range of medical care services. These hospitals can handle common medical issues and emergencies quite well. However, for highly specialized medical care or procedures, you might find it necessary to travel to larger cities like Bacolod City or even Cebu City. They have more extensive medical facilities, specialized doctors, and advanced equipment for specific treatments or surgeries. 😊🏥👩‍⚕

Very good info we all need to ponder. I heard before that Phil Health is more so used by locals for emergency care. I heard that Kaiser is a good insurance company and is a reimbursment plan. Pacific Cross will pay the doctors/hospital directly so you do not have to pay the bill and wait for the insurance to pay you back. Also can Marie explain the difference between an Peso plan vs the USD plans?

So your paying 50% of the total coverage the plan can offer to begin with,🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔. Yup Not such a good idea! She said if you end up in hospital with 100s of thousands of pesos daily. Well I suppose the thousand they cover for the 500 you paid is mearly a slap in the face for buying coverage at 50% of the maximum coverage of a little itty bitty thousand bucks.... I'll spend the extra 500$ on travel and enjoy until catastrophy strikes and then fly home to get fixed with my BCBS 😊 Thanks for the info😊.

Hello @Stackfire ... thanks for sharing your thoughts and concerns. I appreciate your feedback and would like to address the points you raised. I think you may have misunderstood some of the points Marie discussed about the coverage and costs. I'd like to clarify that the plan she discussed at P35k (plus/minus) annual premium offers a comprehensive range of benefits beyond just hospitalization. In addition to dental care and physical checkups, it also covers MULTIPLE ILLNESSES up to P50k per EACH illness. Now, I am a bit confused about her story on the person who got burned and the P100,000's per day. If the coverage only covers up to P50k per illness. 🤔She and I haven't been able to meet to discuss our family plan yet, but I will surely be asking her for clarification on that. 😊 I have sent her your comments asking her to reply to your questions as well. Thanks! Peace and Blessings!

@@G5Philippines the big hospital bill is my main focus like you just spoke about in the hundreds of thousands. Why pay that premium for a savings of 500 bucks??? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 Fe Fi Fo Fo Fe Fo Fi Buckwheats number for a more comprehensive plan.... onlyJK!!! Seriously I do have a beautiful Filipino with a son and I would really like to know more about this plan and if I indeed have it all wrong . Also, the double Jeopardy on the same sickness has me concerned. So You have a heart attack and then you go in they give you medication Tell you take it easy lalala 4 months later one more heart attack and now you need a bypass and then they say sorry this is the same sickness. This same scenario can go with a lot of other situations. Anyways I will keep watching to see what you come up with as far as how it actually truly works thanks go easy 😎👍

@@G5Philippines I'm with Stackfire in needing more information about what constitutes an "illness". If you break and arm it's very clear where the "illness" it begins and ends. But what about chronic issues? If someone has sickle cell, are they only covered for the first attack but not the second? A friend needed bilateral hip replacements. They did one in January, and came back and did the second earlier this month. Would both operations be covered, or only the first? Inquiring minds want to know
