She had a lot of animosity for Ike at this point. As she should have. He did her very, very wrong and influenced her ability to accept love when her current husband came along coz she was so traumatized. Thank goodness her husband was so patient.

I was a dancer working on a show she was on so had the privilege of watching her rehearse. She was so humble! Never saw anything but kindness and respectful behaviour to everyone on set! She is such a big star with definitely no diva moments! She's simply the best🥳🥳🥳🥳🏆🌟

Very true, fought cancer, Had a stroke and kidney failure a rough marriage, son commits suicide, after going through all this, don't know which Human would be so motivated, my cousin has cancer and I Think of Tina Turner, as our Motivation and inspiration

Ike actually did more... He forced her dark night of the soul where she understood her probably family trauma and what love never is and then when she healed she saw what love is in Eric... We have to remember that diamonds are shaped through a brutal process.. and this is the case with her... It was his darkness that pushed her to light...

Hellish, though it may be, her retelling of it is invariably couched in a language of witty banter, soft sarcasm and philosophical musings. She comes across as genuine and gracious.

I love hearing her talk. Very elegant.

I hate that the interviewers always shove the abuse she overcame in her face like it was a strike against her worth. She's not a victim, she walked away from a bad situation and God gave her back the years she lost in that darkness. She was also gracious enough to mention that her ex husband helped her, showing her forgiveness and her class of giving a person honor when it was due. She never wore what she suffered on her sleeve, but she never let it define her or pretend it didnt hurt. That darkness was very real for most women and Tina pulled no punches telling it. Tina does what a lot of women don't do: walk away from darkness, survive it, overcome it, and live on in spite of it. She triumphed big time at a stage of life where America writes you off. America always tries to make women like Tina ( black) feel like they can't be happy or move on, but must stay bitter and vengeful. Tina went against the grain. She was a like a Duracell battery, she kept going, and going, and going. I love her for the impact that she made on my life and seeing her succeed was a great reward for me, and I know God blessed Tina with that success. GOD wrote TINA'S story with a better script that America ever could. TINA got her fairytale and she lived happily ever after and she lives happily ever after now in my heart. She is still with me, and her inspiration never leaves me. You go, Tina!!!

Small minded, famous people that can always drag up some mess on somebody need to learn that there are those of us who can get over abusive but wipes . What is there to not get over, when somebody's a creep? Huh? I mean, even the abusers need to learnthat there is life before, during, and after them. They can be gotten over! Some people can't get over what Tina got over. That just shows how noble Tina is and narrow and small they are. So, if Tina can keep it moving, what couldn't they? Tina dropped that mess and was like, " Let me take it from here. " And she DID!!!!! Yeah!
