Got a 150k pre-approval offer in the mail. Was skeptical of getting a charge card, especially one with a high annual fee. But decided to try it out, especially with the high 150k point offer, the benefits and credits, and 6 months to hit the spending requirement. Thankfully, I was targeted with the 150K offer last October. I accepted it and so glad I did. It’s already brought a ton of value in the offers and we’ve already used the fine hotels and resorts for a week and stay in NYC. Since then, I’ve also got the blue business plus and the Delta business reserve card and a happy to be back in the Amex ecosystem again. And just last week, while on a production I was shooting I was able to visit both of the AMEX centurion lounge, and the Delta sky club in JFK and that was amazing!

Consider using different devices, browsers, wifi networks, etc. That said, I'm wondering if being on a UK network is preventing you from seeing the 150K offer. Consider getting on a U.S. VPN.

would you think there's any possibility to negotiate a higher offer with a customer service advocate when applying, if you can't find the 150 k offer?

Make up for it by referring people you know! The base offer is usually 15K points per signup, up to 100K points per calendar year.

amazing work bro! I was able to get 125k sign up bonus without 200$ credit, but this is an amazing offer comparing to 80k, I'll take it any day. I tried vpn and different browsers and incognito as well. Could have tried more different locations for vpn as well. But im happy with this offer. Hi Jordan - you can add a 'Gold Card' authorized user to a primary Platinum Card account, but that AU Gold Card _does not_ function like the regular Gold card. It will have the same rewards structure as the Platinum Card (5X Flights, 5X Prepaid Hotels, 1X Other) and will not have the $120 Dining Credit or the $120 Uber Cash benefit. I got 90K on the mail for an AMEX Gold. I rather have the Platinum because I like its credits better and the Gold's credits are of little to no use where I live, so I'm not sure about accepting it.

I got the Platinum card this past August. I got it via a targeted mailer for 150k points and I took it. I actually got two targeted mailers with that offer. I just one a week ago for the Business Platinum for 150k points. The spend requirement was $15k in 3 months. I can't do that. So I can't take the offer.

If it would be your 1st Amex card, then it should be a hard pull. If you already have an Amex card, it'll likely be a soft pull.

Odd since several of my friends tried referring me and I received 80K + $200. After I was accepted for the card, I got an offer for 125K + $200. AMEX should be more consistent.

Hi Peter - while you may be able to find the offer, you wouldn't be able to apply, get approved, and receive the 150K bonus because the terms say, "Welcome offer not available to applicants who have or have had this Card or previous versions of the Platinum Card from American Express." If you can find an offer that _does not have those terms,_ then it can be possible to get another Platinum Card w/ a bonus.

Of course! 1. Log into Amex account 2. Select the card you want to refer in the top right corner. 3. Scroll down a bit. On the right-hand side you'll see a section called 'Useful Links.' One of the available links will say something like 'Refer Friends. Earn Rewards.' Click it. 4. You'll then see a page to refer by email or to copy your own referral link.

Or via the Amex app... 1. Log in 2. Select the card you want to refer 3. Tap on the Membership tab at the bottom 4. You'll see the 'Refer a Friend' option under the Earn More section. Select that. 5. You'll then see options to Share via SMS and Share via E-mail.

I've been trying to get the 150k offer since December, keep getting the not eligible for the welcome offer message. I believe I can get the public offer, just not the higher offer, but since it's a once per lifetime bonus I'm going to hold out. In the meantime I've been throwing some spend at my blue cash everyday to maybe reset the algorithm but we'll see.

Only Amex card I have is the blue cash everyday (Unless you count my Wells Fargo propel amex) and I don't heavily use either so that's probably why Amex doesn't want to give me the offer.

@@andreykolbin9954 - To earn the 80K offer, you'll have to complete the spend requirement in the specified time frame (e.g. Spend $6,000 in the first 6 months). As long as you satisfy the requirement with your regular transactions, you'll earn the bonus. Beyond that, it's up to you how much you want to use the card for your expenses. The Amex Platinum Card earns 1X points per $1 spent on most transactions, so it's not a rewarding card for regular expenses.

@@andreykolbin9954 - I'm not aware of any rules preventing anyone from getting more than 1 Amex charge card at the same time or even a day / a few days apart. As long as you can meet the spend requirements with your normal spend, then you should be able to apply whenever you like for the Gold Card. Generally speaking, applying for multiple cards from the same bank in a short period of time may increase the chances of getting a denial, but it's possible to get the decision turned around by calling the reconsideration line.

Just tried to apply and I'm in popup jail. Time to put all of my spend on my gold card...
