I think I speak for all of us when I say that the only reason I'm half decent in air battles is because of DEFYN. Not just through how he breaks down his thought process, but also the wide variety of aircraft he's covered. It's definitely boosted my understanding of what my enemies are capable of as well.

I went from AB to ground SB because i wanted something more challenging, while RB was just insanely difficult with everyone's skill level around me. Thanks to your videos i learned a lot, and now actually enjoy RB, and even reached the first jet!

air RB used to be much harder but the quality of your average pilot went down in the lsst 5 years

I've always had a blast watching your videos, but I'd love to see even more of your plane gameplay in Ground RB. I think that the combo of no enemy markers and the risk of competent SPAA adds a ton of fun to duels and fights.

I believe one of the most important things for learning to fly aircraft is learning the enemys strengths and weaknesses. It takes a bit of time and practice, but once you actually know how to fight others, it becomes much more enjoyable and easier to win dogfights. Good vid, as always!

I've learned a lot with your content, before i was terrified of playing RB and stuck to AB sealclubbing with the Israeli 109. After learning the basics of RB dogfighting i got comfortable enough to go and try it myself and i gotta say, its a lot more fun, keep doing what you do because you're a great help for the new comers.

Might as well throw my hat in the ring. I remember just getting into War Thunder around the _Starfighters_ patch. Back then I mainly used Adam514's videos as a study tool for Air RB. Since he no longer posts, I switched to your content. I'm a big fan of the no-bullshit flight instructor method of teaching. I think it works for a game like War Thunder where you make mistakes and die in the hope you'll learn from every death. Fast forward to now and I think we're coming up on a year or longer subscribed to the Patreon. I'm impressed at how far you've come as a content creator and coach. I think I speak for the silent majority of people watching your channel for a while when I say I'm equal parts in it for the content and the character development. There's few games as rewarding as War Thunder Air RB and I'm pleased I have the opportunity be part of this special niche of a pastime. -Scrongled Milk btw tell your mum I said hi ;)

You're one of, the best(and last) Warthunder air content creators out there Defyn, you're videos have helped me and many others "git gud" at air combat in the best ways possible. You give honest reviews and coverage of the vehicles you play and how to use them effectively to their strengths rather than focusing on their weaknesses too much. And on a side note your video covering the recent air br changes was great, I'm glad someone is still saying something about Gaijins terrible treatment of Air, too many treat it as an "oh well, atleast the few vehicles I like are fun for a few months", while the rest get thrashed.

You have really helped me become a better pilot through your tutorials and gameplay. I went from only being able to fly certain aircraft to understanding many, especially early jets. Stuff that seems obvious now is no longer that way. I am consistently getting a few kills that felt earned rather than just getting lucky. Your decal finally applies to me

defyn is definitively the most humoristic youtuber in this community without trying to being so

The VB-10 is an incredibly large plane like it was difficult to believe its sheer size and the 2 engines, I wonder what the designers were thinking when they designed it

It makes me really happy to see you finally being able to take the step, get sponsors and go full time! I hope you'll be able to keep doing this for as long as you feel like it, for your content keeps me somewhat sane and sometimes even a little happy. On top of that it teaches me boat loads of good stuff and I would say that you're one of the main reasons that I both got into Air RB at all, but also why I'm still improving, although at an embarrassingly slow rate. Haven't played since New Power dropped. The first VB-10 (the green one) was the last French plane I unlocked and I fondly remember how it handled like a submarine sandwich. Glad you finally gave it a try!

This man’s single handedly made all his viewers better pilots. I went from a one and done ground striker in ground rd to a menace for attack aircraft

I actually quite liked the 4.7 VB.10-02, same exact plane as the C-1 version, but it also gets 6 .50 cals, and at 4.7 it absolutely shreds, as long as you can get your nose on target.

Never even played air until I found your channel, got addicted after buying a jet and you have been a lifesaver with these videos.

I swear man, you and a few others helped guide me along being a better fighter pilot. I used to be a Bomber enthusiast a while back but since your F4U-1A video I had been slowly improving and using anything and everything you’ve given as information on the does and don’ts to get myself to top tier in one country. I’ve appreciated every tip, trick and whip of humour along the way and hope you will continue pumping out quality guides to help more people flex their wings.

Making the distinction between flying x plane and flying *any* plane makes a lot of sense. Good way of highlighting basic skills over specific knowledge.

Literally came back because I forgot to comment for the giveaway. Also, just want to say that you are no kidding my favorite creator at the moment and have been for about a year! I watch every video as they come out, thanks for teaching me so much about this game!

I always watch your videos when i want to learn the plane, ofc first i play it myself and when i can't get it right i watch you playing and i can see my mistakes more clearly. Hope you could make more videos on italian stuff :) ♥

Hey DEFYN, I think it could be very beneficial to show how a plane with a better turn rate can out-dogfought by a plane that's energetically superior (faster etc). Here's a weird idea to do that: Do duels with a squadmate with one person being in the F3F and the other in the I-15 M-25. The I-15 turns better, but the F3F can pull up in situations where the I-15 cannot. It would probably be a 3 minute or so video

I use planes strictly in ground RB. I would usually not bring out a plane if the enemy had any up as I SUCKED in dogfighting. I started following DEFYN a few months ago. I can proudly say I have had a couple of games recently with 5-6 aircraft kills and now can perform anti CAS. Knowing how to fly each plane is immensely helpful.

Defyn simultaneously being the best air RB pilot and the best air RB teacher is pretty cool tbh

I took a decent break from War thunder where top tier used to be the days of MIG-15Bis vs F86-F2 where everyone would stay at the deck untill we all hit 1000km/h and shot up straight to the moon where dogfights where won on skill and big brain plays. when the overpowered thing was the hunter that we all loathed for being faster than us and then after that the MIG17 which we all considered astronomically game breaking Coming back to war thunder top tier now seemed like it just came down to who has more missles or flares on periodic countermeasures you helped me learn BVR combat, how to use different radars and settings and most importantly how to defeat phoenixes and other radar guided missles, I thought getting 3.0KD in my mig21 I'd be all set for the toppest of top tier, then I unlocked the mig29 and the stock grind was incredibly difficult and with me getting slapped out of the sky by a no warning phoenix was definitely an experience Thanks for your videos

Without DEFYN I would have never stuck with war thunder as long as I have. Air battles seemed impossible to master, which only seemed more evident as I traveled up the ranks. It is because of DEFYN that I was able to not only learn the ropes, but consistently compete for top spot in many of my matches. Thanks to him for all the content and experience he has shared with us and all the content yet to come.

Don't always get to watch these in a timely fashion, but I always enjoy the tips to try and become better in air battles.

I cna only agree with the importance of learning what your plane is capable of. I still remember how, when I started out with air rb, I was always passive as all hell and would end up being chased down by a faster plane. It was mostly out of frustration that I went super agressive and it got me way more kills but even more knowledge of what the particular plane i was flying could do compared to other planes. From there I got gud (somewhat)
