@@spongebobsquaretits well my intentions weren’t to shorten or summarize the video, they were to highlight the key points he goes over. Those are the 6 things he says you should do every day to lose weight. 1. IF allows more time for your body to be into the fat burning stage versus storing fat. 2. Eating whole foods (real food) and not processed food will result in eating less -> minimizes hunger. 3. Exercise to get your heart rate up. The quicker you get your heart rate up then the less duration needed to work out. Aerobic exercises are what he recommends. 4 & 5. These are pretty self explanatory but meditation can reduce negative emotions such as stress, which leads to eating better & losing weight. 6. Even if you don’t exercise, move around to create signals to send to the brain.

I had allowed those bad fats and sugars to creep into my diet when my husband retired. I cut them out and adjusted my exercise program. 5lbs to go and then we'll see if my blood work agrees with my fantastic results. ❤ Hubby is now on board. He's very impressed and loves eating fat protein and vegetables although we still eat some starchy carbs and fruit. It works for us but we are active healthy seniors. Best wishes.

@@drekberg Hello Doctor Ekberg, hope you're doing well. Would you be able to send me a link of a video that explains this question? Or explain it here please. I've lost 44 kg with these great contents. And now I'm focusing on body composition instead of losing weight. What I never understood is that if I go for one meal a day, I have to intake 100 gr protein or more in just one meal. And we know that our body cannot absorb more than 25-30 gr of protein in one meal; and turns it into fat. So if I consume all my protein in just one meal, my body would absorb just 25 gr protein a day that is extremely low. I did one meal a day during my 45-kg weight loss process and I confirm that I lost 22 kg muscle during this process. So based on what I know, I believe that shorter period of eating is good for obese people, but for everyone, especially for those who have BMI lower than 25 and those who want to make muscle.

I also cut out the snacks/sweet drinks as much as I could and opted for lemon water and unsweetened teas. I've lost like 2.5 Kilos in two weeks, but I suspect that's just the initial loss of stored water due to glycogen stores being depleted? Still it's motivating to see any kind of result, it shows that you can be in control of it. I was stuck at my weight for so long I kinda gave up, thinking I can't do anything about it anyway.

I just love your videos. You explain things so clearly and so concisely at the same time. I binge watch your videos all the time and follow your teachings because they resonate with me and the lifestyle changes ive made for the past two years. First started our with strict/clean keto for a good year during the start of the pandemic. Lost 50 lbs then, belly went down, inflammation in the body healed itself naturally. Ate greens , fat and organic protein sources. Deliberately eliminated even low carb tortilla from my diet. Practically went zero carbs. Sustained this for a year. Lifestyle changes made me stop doing keto but more low carb now because of sustainability issues. Since doing low carb, i started doing 16:8,then 18:6, then 20:4, then now i csn go as far as 36 hrs once in a while if i feel no hunger or i want to kinda push my body more to reap the benefits of health. I admit that when i started my journey, it was really for the phtsical benefits of weight loss, such as getting to work my old clothes, and looking good , but after feeling amazing and seeing the health benefits, i am doing it more for health and just to live a better quAlity of life. Now i am OMAD daily, the inch loss is craazy. Clothes i couldnt even squeeze into before are now baggy and all my jeans are falling off. I am very physically active. I do strength training 3x a week, to build more muscle. I actually look leaner than ive ever been and my body fat is going down rapidly. On top of that, i just have more energy, take daily walks and run once in a while. I lift, do HIIT and love to find reasons to walk to the store or not use transportation if i am going a mile or less. I always say i could use more exercise. Its crazy because even with my one huge meal of the day, i immediately get satiety cues and i can barely even finish my food and i am full and cant even overeat if i wanted to. I guess the sense of fullness and the lack of appetite and the urge to overeat is also one of the best benefits one can benefit from doing time restricted feeding. Now, my body tells me i am full and theres no need to over indulge. I also stopped buying foods that trigger cravings. If its not near you, you dont look for it and i find thats the way the works best for me with regards to disciplining myself. I still have abt 30 lbs to go, mainly just stubborn body fat. I just need to be more patient. I weote this long testament of my expereience to let everyone know that fasting is a choice, a lifestyle, a pattern of eating and not eating, and most of all its dedication and sacrifice. Imagine seeing yourself shrink and the health benefits associated with it are just astounding. Your body should be treated with respect and given only tje things that it requires for healing; repair and sustenance. We eat to live and not the other way around. Its a commitment to eat this way and train your body and mind together to be successful in going for your main goals. In my case, i find that longer fasts really work for me. I have cured my insulin resistance, and i come in with an attitude that this is what i need to do for my health since i am now in my mid 40's. If you can get away with the garbage you ate when you were in your teens and twenties, trust me you wont get away with it now. I havent eaten any actual sugar for abt two years now and my body can tell. Thank you so much. I just had to share my experience to anyone reading this that doing Keto is tremendous. It can give you the boost you require3 especially if you are metabolically sick and are obese. Obesiry is one of the most major killers of Americans in this day and age, and centeal obesity is the best way to gauge whether you are insulin resistant or not. Its never too late to retrain your mind into forming new habits but you have to want it. It doesnt happen overnight. Its a conscious effort and decision to want to change for the better and live life on your own terms and control your food, not let the food control you. Dr Ekberg, you are such an amazing doctor. Please continue and share iwith us more informative content on the subject. I have learned so much from you and i had to give credit where credit was due because you certainly deserve the credit. Imagine how many folks watching you have turned their situations around just by coming upon a video of yours and changing that persons life just by your content. Bravo. God bless you.

Extremely well explained. The doctors I’ve gone to couldn’t explain things this way. So frustrating to know they don’t have answers to WHYs and HOWs. Your work is very much appreciated. Thank you.

I have learned so much this week watching these lectures. I have changed my life a 100% in the last 10 months. 2 years ago I smoked and drank I ate terribly. I quit smoking and then started to drink more. I realised I had a drink issue so I quit drinking too. I had a major health scare last year and had to have a major operation. It made me realise how important my health is and well being. Now I don’t eat any processed foods I’m cutting sugar out and am focusing on strength training. I am a different person. I’m also approaching 50 year old. I feel it is never to late to improve yourself and make changes. My goal is to keep active till I’m in my later years that to me is success in life. Your lectures a wonderful there easy to understand a inspiring. I can’t thank you enough.

You're right, it is never too late to start. There are people here in these comments in their 70's who are fit and well thanks to Dr. Sten. I'm new to IF but am determined to do it to lose weight and get fitter. I need to lose about 2 stone. I am never hungry until about 3-4pm so it should be easy for me and I am trying to walk for an hour a day. So glad I found this guy.
