Ok you guys really didn't like my comparison with the Nutella, lol. That was just meant to be a fun test that was obviously very subjective. But here is a video showing some good, less subjective, side-by-side testing: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fJxmmrmddsvbidY.htmlsi=bL_eapOVZe7cjGYU&t=492.

Offc they make their own video beating other brands.... Thing is, we don't want them to show this as most is just don't for selling a product. Make a non sponsored video about it, and show the actual truth about how they work, not how THEY want them to work. You created a video just for selling the product, that underwater brushing was really bad... Do you drown everyday brushing your teeth while being completely submerged?? In a normal condition there is not that much water replacement, and I bet you the brush does brush, but not better or not That much better then a normal brush, just faster.

Electric toothbrushes do indeed a better job at cleaning the teeth but context matters: In this video, you demonstrated the cleaning by a normal toothbrush with a technique of an uneducated child. The proper way would be to brush thoroughly vertically (and also using tooth paste). What makes the electric toothbrush better is taking the responsibility from me away to use a proper and thorough brushing technique as it cleans by just gliding over the teeth and often having an app support with guided directions for optimal cleaning (e.g.: Philips Sonicare DiamondClean).

The most important factor in how clean your teeth get is overwhelmingly how much effort you put into it. Even at the recommended 2 mins if you're not paying attention you literally might need another 2 mins to get the same cleaning as if you spent 45 sec intensely focusing on cleaning each tooth very thoroughly. So brush thoroughly followed up with some floss. I find a larger brush head to be the most important factor with many angles of bristles being second. Those different angles help get in between teeth better with less force applied. The electric part helps as it doesn't aggravate my gums as much as a manual brush.

Interesting fact, if your brush head is dirty then you can dip the toothbrush head into a cup of water and turn on the toothbrush. The vibrations free the little gunk from the hairs in your toothbrush and you can see it in the water. So in fact they do a even better job at cleaning themselves. There is an excessive amount of people in this comment section that are ignoring simple physics. If you need to polish the hood of a car in 2 minutes, do you think it'll be done better/faster by hand or with an electric buffer? Of course it will be better with the electric one, a good pad, and polish. As for the vibrations, doesn't a vacuum cleaner with a rotating brush make the carpet vibrate the dirt loose while the suction lifts the dirt away? Yes, yes it does while also working better than just using the round nozzle and sticking it into the carpet. Assuming all brushing times and thoroughness are equal, your teeth will always turn out cleaner with a quality electric brush, compared to using a manual or cheap knockoff brush from the dollar store. Especially with back teeth where you can't get a good scrubbing motion.

No issues at the dentist half year appointments, despite only brushing once a day before going to sleep. On my second one now, first one dropped on the floor and died after many years of cleaning. Original brushes last long, and you can get them cheaper when you look for offers. I highly recommend them Sonicare, but normal toothbrushes are more affordable...

Food Theory did a video similar to this testing various electric and sonic brushes and found that they weren't that effective compared to manual brushing but even with their video they failed (just like this one) to take into account that electric and sonic toothbrushes are meant to make *normal brushing faster* not to make you work less to brush. I have an electric toothbrush and I use it the way I use a non-electric. I just don't have to stand there brushing my teeth for two minutes anymore. Just 30 seconds and I get the same clean. I'm still manually running the brush over my teeth like I would if it wasn't vibrating my gums off lmao What's better to you? 1. Holding your hand still for two minutes and moving the brush in your mouth along your teeth 2. Moving the brush in an eliptical motion and scrubbing manually for two minutes 3. Moving the brush in an eliptical motion or up and down while the brush *also* moves in a different direction for 30 sec to 1 min I'll take option three :) People just need to stop being lazy lmao

If possible can you try an experiment that I came up with. The things you need are an empty room, a light source and you inside the room. What I have in mind is that , when the light source is turned on you are able to see the walls of the room because they reflect light from the light source. But what if we make the surface of the walls so imperfect that in whatever direction light may hit the wall it does not get reflected to atleast a single point in the room. Which means if you observe the room from that point, even if there is a light source in that room, you would not be able to see anything like the wall and the ceiling in the room.

If you want to make it up to people, try doing a video on an actual Ultra-sonic tooth brush that oscillates at 1.96Mhz, not the 1Khz one you showed. They are so quiet they use them on dogs/cats at vets because they are far above the range of hearing for almost all mammels, and you just press them against the tooth and the plaque and calculus just drops off. Spendy though, so you could also review the the #1 in the US, recommended by many Dental Orgs, the Oral-B Pro 1000 $50.

They do have an ultrasonic descaler tool, but you can also buy them in the UK Mega-something, and Emmi-dent in the US IIRC. Often used in vets offices as they work at 1.9Mhz, not the paltry 1Khz this one does, are above range of hearing for most mammals, and you don't need to brush, just apply to tooth and plaque just falls off. Only thing is they are like $250.

It's weird how Laifen advertises the sonic toothbrush like it is something new, maybe Philips' patent on it ended and now other brands are allowed to sell it? Philips Sonicare introduced the sonic toothbrush in november 1992. The unibody is also not new, Philips also has one closed body with wireless charging. The only thing new here is the sideways wobble, but to be honest, that seems annoying to control, I'd rather not have that. Also the grip on the Philips Sonicare seems more comfortable and ergonomic then the Laifen grip. I'll stick with the Philips, it served me for decades and still works.

A few reasons for that. For one when he took the teeth out of the water, there was a layer water there, reflecting everything very well. There was way better ligthning out of the water vs in the water. Also the quality is night and day (it's probably way zoomed in on the water shot and just zoomed out when he takes it out since you can't see too much detail in that murky water anyways). Long story short, underwater the colours are compressed together into "blobs" and when you take it out of the water, you can see the curved surface better with light reflecting from it, better lighting, quality and all. (also when you go frame by frame, you can get to frames with better lighting at areas and you can see there aren't holes between the teeth - when it's more sideways and not facing the camera)

    1. The dirty floor mat was amazing. 2. The toothbrush test was ridiculous because you brushed the teeth so poorly and slowly. Also it was an inaccurate representation since we don't brush our teeth with a mouth full of water. So the ultrasonic waves couldn't have transferred to the cracks of your teeth without your mouth filled with water. The sponsorship doesn't mean it's a lie but considering it was a ridiculous claim, it's very suspicious.
