I know who owns this car. This PPF was not done at the Rivian factory OR the Rivian service center. This is a shoddy third party install. Factory Rivian full front PPF is done at the third party installer near the factory

That's some quality work! I really like the attention you guys give to the installation. Gives off the vibe that you guys actually know what you're doing, unlike that dealership. I had the front end of my car covered with PPF the day after I bought it. The installation wasn't bad, but PPF installation services are pretty new in my area. It was all hand cut so I noticed some imperfections. But the film has done its job and kept the paint looking new. Hoping to get a ceramic coating soon.

I got to meet Eman a couple of weeks ago and asked quite a few questions about PPF and he definitely knows what he is doing. 👏👏

Same thing is seen with dealership ceramic coatings, high spots, areas missed, a proper mess on most cars I’ve seen.

sometimes sadly on the old cars / classic with no patterns they can be less and perfect and a similar finish to what we see here as its a hand made product....... new vehicle i expect better as mentioned the patterns today are fantastic, sometimes i get a really old vehicle and i do my best but its not perfect at all, the customer will always be informed of this in that scenario. Great video guys!

I bought new headlight assembles for my 2000 Camry LE. The housing is trimmed in black. Have not put them on the Camry yet because I would to have them done like you did the truck. Actually I would the whole Camry done like this. I would have to have it repainted then have this done. The trouble is the kind of paint Toyota uses is a soft paint it's easily chipped. And it scratches easily as well. I believe what you do is awesome.

I definitely agree. I have had 3 vehicles done at the dealership done since 2018, and they have all failed. Even had one re done and failed again. Terrible terrible jobs. Going to bite the bullet and get it done at a professional shop now.

My daily life at the shop lol fixing dealer installed PPF and "coatings"

Dealerships are the worst! I did a few detailing job for various dealers when I first started detailing and they all want to cut costs everywhere. They have zero interest in doing a good job, all they are after is the lowest price possible. A job that would take 12 hours on a used car they will want done in 3 hours. As for specialized services, they want you to charge them half the normal price and they turn around and sell it to the customer for twice what it's worth. AVOID DEALERSHIPS!

EV’s and their dealerships are really showcasing the shoddy workmanship rich people are ok overlooking to have a ‘cool’ car.

You can’t expect high quality from dealerships. 1. They are super cheap when it comes to paying 3rd parties. 2. In house installers are always rushed and the quality goes down the drain.

Don’t do anything at the Stealership other than the purchase of the vehicle.

Currently using DAP

there are for sure some great guys doing work at dealerships, but id not hope to get lucky. guys at dealerships know most customers are oblivious to quality work.

Unfortunately this is done at the factory in Normal ILLINOIS the quality for ppf installs there are horrible i live in Bloomington/Normal IL and ive seen a lot of rivians and i dont think ive seen a single 10/10 install the best ive seen was may be a 7/10 at best
