In my experience the women that wear their hair naturally are more in tuned with who they are and their traits they have to work on and therefore are more pleasant to be around. I've received a lot of compliments for my natural hair but I've also been called masculine or rough for wearing my natural kinks. So, I think it really depends. On another note: I think we as a community should be more careful with how we lable natural hair vs not natural. It doesn't make one better than the other. Believing women who aren't natural are insecure or have some sort of shame/self-hate is poor judgement. Some women really just want to have fun with some hair styles; some women aren't natural for the sake of daily manageability; some women (usually older) have thinning hair....we shouldn't be so quick to pass judgement one another so harshly. The rest of the world already does that.

This is so true! If my natural curls are popping then I may get looks from men of a different status or even another race. Most definitely if I wear a natural looking weave. I also notice a difference in they type of men who look at men when my hair is long vs short. Most black men I have encountered have been truthful that short hair looks good but they would prefer their women with length. Some have also admitted that don't even care about being natural as long as the women's hair is long. Men have been brain washed by medis just as women have.

Like because they wear hair that did not grow out of their head they don’t know who they are? Are they less black because they bought their hair?! But be happy with you before you compare yourself to someone else because they’re either this or that … be you ❤ Also, this whole “natural look” natural means you don’t alter or change anything about you - so that would include eyebrows, makeup, waxing, nails 💅 etc… many of us are so hypocritical of others but who really is all natural? I also noticed that they think they can be flat broke or super cheap when it comes to me being natural, like I am supposed to be okay with not having anything. Woke don’t mean broke sir. And lets be 💯 when we wear our natural natural hair (4z girl here) a lot (not all) black men do not like that look and I will attract men of different ethnicities that appreciate the way my hair grows out my head. So it is levels to this hair game. I also like wigs and braids. Hell I got into wigs because I went natural and you know when your in cooperate…. gotta blend in or possibly not get the job you deserve. The wigs allowed me to leave my natural hair alone as it grew out, while also providing me with a hairstyle appropriate for work at the time. However, when we say what we actually like, we are often met with the "you can't tell me what to do" attitude. Shout out to the natural women who put in the effort!

I get approached differently with my natural hair too. I wear my curly fro 95% of the time and get approached alot more from all races of men. When i wore my hair straight it was fewer because i looked like everyone else. The thing about natural hair is just mastering what grows from your head. Can still wear the wigs an extensions, but being confident in a fro is just a different level. Alot of women are still ashamed about their hair or dont know how to take care of it.

@@jayman9642 ok but its not hard to achieve the look is the point to be made its not hard to get locks certainly not for type 4 hair and maintenance is not hard at all yes it is beautiful and it can be culturally significant though people mostly dont do it for cultural symbolism they do it because they are easy to manage and they look good they are a fairly simple style .... i think what was missed is the context yal took the shot of “ they are simple” as the woman are basic but im pretty sure in context she meant simple as in easier to deal with not simple like average what’s really concerning about the initial comment I commented under is having to tear another black woman down to prove their point 💀so she wears wigs and weave why are you insinuating that is a bad thing ?!? Like because they wear hair that did not grow out of their head they don’t know who they are? Are they less black because they bought their hair?! They spend time money and effort on their heads just as you do ..... im not understanding the attack
It’s more that they understand that you respect and love yourself and are not insecure about wearing what u were born with, and they know they cannot come incorrect. Because u would never give them the time of day.

It seems we find anything to constantly divide us - it’s either if we’re natural or we like long weave, lashes or no lashes, light skin vs dark skin… the list goes on … the right man for you at the end of the day will want you for who you are and if that means confident with lashes and weave so be it or a weave or locks or a fro so be it! Very few … 😢
I’m not gonna cap she automatically gives me wife vibes over all these chicks they’re all beautiful but that natural just hit different
I’m seeing people say in the comments that the girl with the bangs is hating… for telling the truth? It didn’t come off as hate to me, just an observation. Im natural and the good morning Queens can also be drama just the same as the others. I love all hair, but even when I wear my turbans, I attract different men with different intentions. Gotta be careful and vet them accordingly. Stay safe out here ladies ☮️ ✌🏾.

I've been telling women this the whole time! The type of men that you attract is based on how you present yourself. Me personally, I NEVER entertain women who wear weaves and fake nails, fake eye lashes, makeup and all that. Natural women will ALWAYS attract higher quality men.
Its less work than weaves if you know what youre doing. Those grand rising men def annoying. They dont even practice what they listen to everyday most of them lol.
