@@shirosejiokami4168 Everything shrinks when exposed to cold. Goes back all the way to atomic scale actually. Tho I guess you can see it that well on your genitalia because its a defensive mechanism, as it is easier to maintain functioning temperature when the surface of the organ is smaller.

what about just cold water showers?

same thing.

I've done cold showers for 7 years and recently started doing ice baths. I think they're very different. I don't think cold showers trigger dopamine release only noradrenaline. One psychological difference is in an ice bath the mind has a chance to still itself which isn't the case as much in a cold shower where the exposure is variable.

Cold showers do trigger dopamine release if they are done long enough, i.e., at least over a minute. Most people just jump under one for 30 seconds and dip out. You need to go in and stay up until the point you can control your breath slowly and deeply.
I’m being serious genuinely asking. Would dipping my balls in cold water have the same effect?
@elemental3066

it would, ice cold tbh probably does more harm than just adequately cold water, if anything do it for longer is gonna compensate lol
I would disagree and say saunas are better. Based on the small simple fact that it gets rid of waste and toxins while also increasing your immune system. The best thing I love to do is to take cold showers in the early parts of the day for maximum dopamine than take a sauna at near night time which gets rid of toxins such as BPA and micro-plastics. Both Man and women should do this.
What is the compelling science he is talking about? Can someone link me?
Wonderful topics

Hi Andrew, you've mispronounced the term "varicocele" multiple times during your presentation. I get it! Who cares? Tomato TomAto... Your science is great for the masses, and I applaud your work. But should I sit here and listen to you say "varoseal" when in fact it is "varicocele?" Just a humble correction on my part. Please keep up the good work, though, and your work is undoubtedly GOOD! No, it's GREAT! Cheers!
Hello Mr. Huberman. I wanted to ask if this superstition is true or not: Cold showers can make you infertile (my pp will not wake up). This thing my mom always says whenever I do cold showers or something related to cold exposure.

No theres a reason why your testicles is outside of your body since they need to be a bit cooler than your body temperature, I dont know how much they are good at but thats an easy search, If i would guess its 29 degrees
