Hi Megan, I ordered my Ricoma MT-1501 about 3 weeks ago, I had it delivered less than a week ago. I have an online printing business that I wanted to expand to embroidery. I live in an apartment building too, it took three of us to get it into my building. I am getting ready to dive in and start learning the machine this week, thanks for sharing your experience. What thread do you use?

The training it super easy and quick maybe 1 hr and 30 mins max.

I've been considering a Ricoma but I have a problem paying so much and they don't even come and install it for you? That's a kick in the boo-boo/haha. Thanks for your video though. I hope that you are profiting from your purchase.

Hello and thank you for watching! You can pay extra for someone to help install it for you or you can have some of your friends help. Ricoma makes it super easy to install your machine with written instructions and they also have videos that you can watch to figure out how to set up the stand and the machine properly. Ricoma has their own KZread channel too. They offer a lot of helpful resources such as online trainings with a technician as well as many videos on how to machine assembly, threading your machine, thread tension, control panel overview and more! They really walk through it with you step-by-step to make the process as easy as possible. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Love the review. Not sure if you know that your warranty can be voided by Ricoma for not taking the training. Just wanted to put that out there since you mentioned it

Have you thought about how you do a big maintenance on it or it has a mechanical problem? Do they come to your house?

If you are having an issue with the machine, you can either send them a message or give them a call. When I was having issues I sent them a message and they sent me some videos with possible options to fix the solution. It is also very easy to order parts in case something breaks. In regards to maintenance they have some videos specifically for your machine on how to maintain it, how to oil it and when you should oil certain parts of your machine. I am not sure if they could come to your house, but I am assuming they could if their suggestions didn't help. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

I have single needle Brother PRS100 and It's supposed to be cleaned and oil every year and if something breaks I have to physically. bring it to the sewing shop. I've only brought it in one time for cleaning because it's a hassle. It only weighs 60 pounds but it's hard to do by myself. I was thinking about possibly getting a 6 needle machine. That would be smaller than yours.

How much is this?
