Neal The Highlander I kind of agree, I don't say Pac was fake cause he did some real things in the community and he spoke on real issues. His problem was he talked about us rising up against the injustices and he was shaped to be a leader like the late great Shakur. But As we all saw it didn't happen that way, He couldn't seem to separate T.H.U.G.L.I.F.E from the thug life. People are so quick to place him up there with Malcom, Martin and those who fought for people's rights when with all the tools Pac he left a legacy built on controversy. As for DMX he has keep it 100 through his trials and tribulations and has been consistent in all he does good or bad. which is why he is so respected in his own good and where ever he goes.

BornAgainBostwick I respectfully disagree, Pac didn't keep it 100, his personality and attitude would change depending on who he was around at that particular time. I respected this mans talent, and admired his intellect, but i think his character was lacking. My grandmother actually lived across the street from Pac for about a year when he was in Baltimore, he done yardwork for her and acted like a gentleman, he even wrote her a poem, which she still has, about the holocaust after discovering she was a survivor. Pac had very little at this time but would take his money that he earned from yardwork ect. and buy all us kids ice cream and drinks, however, when his boys showed up, he acted like he didnt know us, which was hurtful, and very revealing. This was a trait that he carried throughout his short life. On the other hand, with DMX you get exactly what you see.

I have been a DMX fan from the start and I want to thank and appreciate you for what you said from the bottom of my heart thank you for your comment..... because there are some people on here that are making ignorant comments about this song and they truly don't know or understand what it is to go through what he's going through and to be and pain knowing that your life has a calling and purpose knowing that you want to walk in a certain way but still you have such a hard time leaving that negative life behind I love this song cuz I can truly relate to him I always have I've loved and appreciated all the prayers gets that he has had on his albums and if you listen to his albums closely he has always had this fight with in his self and that's what I can truly relate to me personally knowing and wanting to walk in a certain way main while you have your old lifestyle and ways and habits that are demons that feel like 10,000 lb gorillas on your back that are pulling you in the opposite direction is a constant fight and it's so hard especially when you want to leave a certain type of Lifestyle alone it's not easy I'm going through the same thing but the one thing that I can say is God is with me step-by-step and I have to sit back and be proud of myself and reflect on how far he has carried me there's a lot of people places and things that I've been able to cut out and it was very hard at first but everybody does not belong in your present sometimes you have to leave people behind especially when they're doing the same old thing going around in the same Circle sometimes you have to step away and step forward I've come to learn that everybody doesn't belong in your future and everybody doesn't have your best interest every sugar everything is in sweet and Everything That Glitters certainly isn't gold but the devil always makes sure that the grass on the other side of the fence looks better to keep you doing things that you know you don't want to do anymore it's a constant fight

One of the rare rappers to do a better delivery of his songs in live rather than in studio. Got to recognize this version is way much better than the album's.
