I swear to God, the first thing he did when he got to the end of the aisle, "This my shit right here, fucking toys!" As live as he is in this interview, I got everything i needed to in that moment about the man Earl Simmons. He was a child at heart with the soul of a warrior. Praying you had an easy transition X. The realest, for real. This pandemic. The political and civil unrest. Hard times for us all. I grew up in a predominantly white area in the Adirondacks, and I'm a white boy. I've lost a lot of my singer/songwriter heroes in the past year, and appreciate a vast array of music. But I grew up with lots of black people in a very racist community, and I thank my mother for instilling in me that people are people, no matter what. Those men can make me cry my heart out quicker than anyone or anything. It's gotta get better, right?

He had the most purest heart regardless of the life he was dealt. When he loved he loved hard and genuinely. He truly gave away a lot of what he earned to those he felt deserved it more than him. He always felt as if he wasn't worthy of his gift or his words. I truly enjoy the most private moments he gave us when doing his prayers. It was a private heartfelt moment between him and God and he took us along that journey with him. I'm truly thankful for being able to experience what we know as DMX. I remember getting my heart broken for the first time in college. I was in my dorm being a loner for months. The song slipping came out. When I heard it DMX spoke to me. I'm slippin, I'm falling, I can't get up, I gots to get up getting back on my feet so I can tear shit up! I thought I got's to get up get back to life move forward , they're more women on the planet. I listened to it on repeat back 98. I was 19 then, I am 41 now and I will never forget what how slippin help me. And I listen to it now as I type this. DMX touched people few people do that on earth. RIP.....

I was 19 in 98 also and that song carried me thru a few situations I dare not speak of. Incredible how someone who was so ridiculed made so much sense to some of us who didn't even recognize our indifference at that time. Hmmm. 🙄 I'm glad to see you made it brotha. God Bless you X. Another one of US. (Virtual daps and hugs) ❤ #Relatable

I cried my ass off on certain parts. This man has had a calling from day. The neglect, abuse, and overall trauma caused him to disassociate. He has lived his entire life in fragments of himself. Despite that, he still manages to get up everyday and push some more. I’m amazed!

I heard that! I get emotional too. I watched the full interview with Talib Kwali and whew it had me a wreck. He is just such a genuine guy it brings you back to the 90s when that's the way society was before social media and technology, this shit is ruining us. He's one of the few real deal OGs left. We can't lose him. We gotta keep praying for real praying not just typing "im praying for you" but actually doing it. He's got to pull through he still has so much to offer to the world. 💔
