This is one of the best TV themes ever created. It's an absolute classic and a total fave. I'm so glad to see Denis happy and doing well.

All the notes and in the right order. Black Beauty was before my time but repeated on Sunday mornings and I grew to love it. I did feel the program itself was a bit dull though! It was always a surprise that it turned out that two of my three favourite TV themes (Lovejoy is the other) were written by you!

Wow Denis! To hear you play it is even more magical. You have given the world the most beautiful gift with that one. One of the most inspiring pieces of music, it just catches your heart and touches your soul. Thank You!

I don’t understand why I love this music as much as I do. It’s partly nostalgia; I was about 10 when Black Beauty was on TV, but there are other themes from that time which don’t stir me in anything like the same way. There is something about the progression that gets me, and I can’t explain it, but that’s ok. I was playing it (rather loudly) in my car earlier this week, and got thumbs-ups from a few people who’d overheard. It’s a wonderful piece, and I thank you for the music, sir.

I never thought of it that way--it was just a job! But thank you. Very much.

I don't know if its right for a 60yr old man to admit this but... this made my eyes tear up with joy. I cannot think of a single time I was at the stables and this theme did not go through my head. Except for one time being thrown so hard I flew some5 ft above the horse (according to witness) but even then I thought "what would the music to this sound like." LOL

Well done Mr. KIng. The early 70's wouldn't have been the same without this magnificent creation & it is as good today as it was back then.(as indeed are many of your other compositions) I had to check up on your age & couldn't believe it, you look 20 years younger.

Why am I just now discovering this? I didn’t even know it was you who composed this nostalgic masterpiece! Thank you for bringing so much joy when I was younger (only 20 years ago but still), every time I listen to the song I feel so nostalgic and it’s sad but also the best feeling. 😌 And you seem like a very kind person too!

@@deniskingmusic I played a dance remix of this on my radio show last week and even though it was much more of a trance style remix the reaction from everyone was still the same, everyone remembers it and loves it. It is one of those themes that will go down in history.

Lovely..who would have thought the young boy we played with in Romford would be a world celebrity :)

Hello Mr King, it was my 49th birthday yesterday and if ever a piece of music transports me back to my childhood of the 80s it is this. Standard Music is the published of the tune, but don't know if they sell sheet music anymore!
