Django Reinhardt - I'll See You in my Dreams (1939)

Музыка

Hi people. in this video I am playing the Django Reinhardt version of I'll See You in my Dreams.
This is using my George Benson hollow body into a Fender amp on a Line 6 Helix. i did mean to turn the gain down for a cleaner tone but forgot. Still sounds ok i guess.

Precision! Django made music out of simple harmonic based on chord ideas! Not guitaristic ..more pianistic or trumpet like Louis Armstrong his idol! Great job!

Thanks 👍 really appreciate the comment. Yes Django followed the chord changes perfectly. It was so simple but... So fast 😊

Matter of Taste and there has never those who exceeded the Innovators such as Charlie Christian..Wes..Elmore James..TBone Walker..Albert King..BB..Even Allan Holdsworths idol was Coltrane> Still confused? LOL Djangos idol was Louis Armstrong.See the pattern nice try!LMAO Playing more notes is not Art in itself! It is often an overreaction without own sounds or feelings. Add George Benson to the list! 1492 produced exactly what is seen right now mainly clones!

Bravo. I was just as impressed with the backing rhythm guitar track. Did you also play that?

Thank you so much. But no! The rhythm track is available on KZread - it loops for around 10 mins non stop. Actually I did a 'short' where I play a little bit of the rhythm (you can check it out) But because I have no means to record a sharp decent acoustic sound, I used the backing track for better quality sound.
