Amazing, this is my absolute fav Satriani track <3 Also really well done with the timing during the more "solo-y" bits! Edit: Haha, i wrote my comment before the solo at the end... that's just gold, man!

Thanks, and yeh the timing is well off at the end, I totally improvised on the spot. I'm please with the tone from Quad Cortex though

Sampling is another thing entirely. The original is the original and any derivative works are their own thing. Just appreciate that further music has spawned from this. It's good. Luv and Peace.

IMHO, people cannot claim that the song is theirs, if they are sampling another artist's song.

yeah, is just stealing parts of a song and modifying it so they dont get copyright. it was (and still is) so used that it even got a name

Can you please tell which pedals and mods you used to achieve that awesome tone!?
@MarkRoskillyGuitar5 ай бұрын
Hi, this particular effect was just a VST plugin called Guitar Rig. No pedals. If I remember correctly, the bulk of this sound came from an effect in Guitar Rig called 'TALK WAH' which simulates the sound of one of those talk boxes (living on a prayer) if you can find a talk box simulator, That's a good start 👍

How did you learn to play like that? How to play like you? Was this composed or improvised? How did you learn to play like this? Did you go to music school? That was out of this world brilliant.

Thanks, actually listening back to this one, there is wayyy too many notes and not enough feeling. Self taught, learnt my ear training and KZread over the years. KZread is the best teacher 🙂👍

It's half composed and half improvised. I play over a backing track for a week or so, and memorize most of my favourite bits.
