Thank you Francois. I speak no French, but you've taught me well. Music is a universal language. Best!

greetings from paris !!
You're such a good explainer that a guitar player can understand you even if he doesn't speak French.
I was in doubt when I heard the French... But a couple of minutes later I carried on. It turns out that there's no need to learn French! Makes me think that you're a brilliant teacher.
Learning French and at the same time Learning Django Reinhardt "I'll see you in Dreams", Merci Beaucoup François

Ok, haven't laughed this hard for quite a while! Took the thought right out of my head.
This is one of the best. Francois you show the exact detail. Yes it is very hard for a beginner like me, but it is just about the time I put in. Thankyou, and all the best wishes to you and your family.
A Fantastic lesson. I cannot speak or understand a word of French but as a guitarist I understood every word. A great player and a great teacher. I applaud you :D

Hello, Francois! Thank you so much for amazing lesson!
VERY GOOD VIDEO ; you are also a very nice and modest person !
Merci beaucoup François, m'a aidé à apprendre " I'll see you in my dreams" et je m'amuse avec ça!
Hello Francois! Thank you for this excellent lesson. I especially appreciate that you put a lot of focus on getting the "Pompo" swing rhythm correct as this is not easy to do. The lesson is among the best gypsy jazz tutorials I've taken. Merci bucu!!!

I agree. very good lesson. Thankyou, and the best wishes to you in these times
I see his gypsy guitar produces small overtones as mine does. I use a small string damper which takes them down to almost nothing. The damper does not mute the strings, just cuts down on string overtones. I don't know if the tops are ultra-thin on these guitars or what. Some say it's in the hands and technique, but some of the fine gypsy players, this fellow included, seem to get overtones when doing their arpeggios. I'm glad this was posted. I picked up a lot of licks from this fellow's playing. Thanks.
1000 times thanks from belgium ! Merci beaucoup !
Excellent ! Raisonner en terme d'accords. ....MERCI ! Faut juste réfléchir mais ça paye à force d'obstination à la seule compréhension
Le top
thanks you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love this tune, I'm obsessed.
very solid pompe! and great lesson. thank you
Parfait quoi !
Merci! merci! thank you for breaking down the Rhythm in chord progression slowly
Merci beaucoup. :)

Very Nice! Does the magazine archive have tabulature or standard music staff for "I'll See You in My Dreams", and if so, which issue?

Excellente lesson sinon, bravo!
mind ur bendings ,man
I'd really love to see some chord charts with fingering diagrams for the rhythm!

You can buy the magazine for that guy !

Good playing, which makes the poor sound quality all that much more disappointing.
Good day, François! Thanks a lot for Your lessons! Please, explain in detail the moment at 8:45 (Rubrique Manouche - Guitare Sèche, LE MAG 30, kzread.info/dash/bejne/Yp9qj9auY9SxXZc.html)?

I mean only first 3 notes at 8:45. As i can see, your right hand do only 2 pics on 4 string to do this sound. And I can't reproduse it.

sss6461 Strange...I went to the 8:45 spot and he is talking there, no playing...I wanted to see what you were asking about and if I could even help but not sure what notes you are referring to. Do you mean literally the first notes of the solo? They match your question as being all on "the 4 string" but that is 4 notes not 3 as you also ask. Let me know as I have studied this video in great detail.
