Very cool project. That is a great color. I like the Mazda red tint metallic but drive a C8. You have to look at all brands paint codes to really get the best colors. I wanted to see it in the sun. I have some base silver rims I was going to powder coat. It is $500 to do that. I am going to spray them after seeing this. Thanks.

First comment, but I've been watching your videos for awhile as I am about 3 months into driving around in a '04 C5 A4; Torch red paint, seats, and carpet with chrome Z06 style wheels. Subscribed too. I think the wheel came out great. You know, after watching several of your videos in the past along with some other C5 videos it seems like alot of folks really enjoy these cars, so it helped me decide what car to get. I was looking at a short list of cars including the last Taurus SHO, but more often than not most videos that guys uploaded about the C5 were about how much fun the car is to drive and that it is fairly reliable. I've been daily driving a '97 Volvo 850R for almost 9 years; not a super reliable car, but fun and different with it's turbocharged 5 cylinder motor. Fun fact, every Volvo 850 came with adjustable cams from the factory. On the new to me C5, the driver's window wobbled and during a heavy rain storm water would leak onto the carpet so your last video helped me in taking the door panel off. I found the window track bracket nut had fallen off the rear bracket, and the front bracket was barley still connected. So thanks for that video. The window is way tighter and with some adjustment presses against the weather stripping better Cool. Oh, I work for a wheel restoration, powder coating and repair company around Atlanta. Kind of ironic but this past week I got in a set of Z06 wheels for restoration. The customer wants them powder coated gloss black. He did show me the GM stamp on the back and told me GM did not make chrome Z06 wheels.

Yeah but they did make polished aluminum Z06 wheels that look like they’re chromed only on the Commemorative edition Z06 for 2004 only

Awesome job, ironically I'm going to spray paint my original alcoas a different color because I'm bored with original! 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

I think i might have put the sticker over the bug repair. Easy cover up. They came out great looking good job!

No modification needed in running 18" wheels for front that I know of. Correct me if I'm wrong.. Do a search for what tire size people run. Speedometer harness plug sensor is on rear differential so same speedo reading. Small chance of throwing off active handling and ABS because computer sees FRONT wheels spinning technically slower with 18" front wheels. Usually front wheels spin faster than rear so makes ABS see no faults in sliding or spinning out tires while rolling.
